Respect for Rock fuels strong summer

I'm all good with Rock and believe he has the experience and bona fides to do a great job with our players

That said, gonna hold my powder until I see the results in September. Here's one reason why....

“Mike’s been an individual who’s been in our program and understands it, but he’s also been a student of strength and conditioning. He had numerous opportunities this year in the National Football League, and our players believe in him.”

“Trust is very important in any organization, obviously, but in our football program, you know, that’s the lifeline of our football program, is trust,” Jones said. “Trust is earned over time, and Mike has earned that trust, and he’s earned the trust of our players. I know they’re excited about training, and then the individuals that aren’t, obviously they’re back home training, as well. There’s a commitment level like no other that we’ve had so far going into the summer."

Come on, KB.

This goes against the narrative. :loco:

And you are right, it's fair for fans to take the opposite approach. There's not really a wrong answer.

By the way, I'm out in your neck of the woods this week/weekend. The wife thought that going out and seeing family in TX in mid-July was a great idea.

I volunteered for basic military training at Lackland AFB, TX during July and August. One of my first learning experiences about planning ahead and attention to detail sinking in to a hard young head.

The one that UT's problems last year stemmed from not having a bona fide S&C coach. From that article Butch was clearly comfortable with him in that capacity.

So you're not crapping on what he says...when it fits the RIGHT NARRATIVE? :)

Of course, this is the first person I have seen hired for this position that has the resume to back the hype.

That's true. I hope it works out this time. Butch opened up the wallet to pay this guy because of his resume.
