i will probally end up getting it because i love everything resident evil, even though it looks like a straight up action game

Ditto.

I'll get it and probably enjoy it, though I doubt this is going to add much to the storyline. In fact you can actually change RE history in the game by doing things like killing Leon and Jill.

I love Resident Evil well besides part 5(what garbage that was, broke my heart lol) so getting this first day buy. Love the setting of classic RE2 and RE3 Raccoon City.

I didn't think RE5 was garbage but I did find it lazy; to me it was just an HD update to RE4. I think they really missed an opportunity to tie it back to the original RE games with the Wesker storyline. I think I liked the mansion DLC better than anything since it actually felt like the older RE games.

So anyone playing this? I picked mine up Thursday. So far I like it enough; though it's obviously more shooter than survival horror.

My 360 gamertag is ResidentialEvil if anyone wants to add to play.

I ended up passing on it because every review I've read of it has been horrible
