Resident Evil 6

This comes out a week from next Tuesday. I already have mine pre-ordered. I finally got to play the demo, which was actually a different demo than the first demo.

Overall I like the demo but I definitely like Leon's campaign best so far. His is what I've been wanting; the superior 3rd person view of RE4/RE5 and the return of zombies. Chris' was slightly better than what I was expecting (and I wasn't expecting much) but it still feels too much like Resident Evil: Call of Duty. Jakes's is ok but more like Chris' demo.

And it's out. I haven't picked mine up yet from Gamestop but will probably run out in a bit and do so.

So far the reviews are very mixed. Some places like Gamespot and G4 pretty much pan the game, while GameTrailers and GameInformer say it's pretty good.

Everything I have read and from others who have the game, its pretty lackluster.

Rented this last night. It's been ok so far. Still early though. I'm towards the end of the first chapter in the Leon campaign.

I've had it a month and I'm only halfway through Leon's campaign, and I must say as of this moment, I hate this game. It's freakin' terrible. I have no idea why Capcom made it this bad, but there is so much wrong with it.

The camera is too close to Leon, so I'm constantly getting attacked by zombies/monsters I can't see. The checkpoints are awful; it tells you your progress is saved, yet the other night I played an hour and got to the cathedral and kept dying, so I quit. I reload the game the next day and I'm all the way back at the beginning. I constantly run out of ammo. It's like they tried to make it more like the early games with forcing you to conserve ammo, which is fine, but don't turn around and make parts where I have to kill all the enemies if you're not going to give me enough ammo.

And the worst part, everything I've read says Leon's is the best campaign.

I've never been a big fan of capcom games...

So about a month ago I decided to give this game another chance, and last week I finished Ada's scenario to fully finish the game. Overall the game is probably about a B-. There is a lot wrong with it, and Capcom really needs to reboot the franchise. I mean if they rebooted Devil May Cry already, then RE definitely needs it.

I liked the graphics, the different, connected scenarios, and the return of zombies. I didn't like the story, quick-time events, and the extreme lack of horror. WAY too much action.

I finally got around to playing this. I've finished Leon's campaign and am halfway through Chris's, and I've got to say it isn't THAT bad. Definitely too much like the movies at times, and way too many QTE, but I really enjoyed Leon's campaign. Chris's is okay so far. I'm playing it co-op though, so that adds a lot to the enjoyment I think.
