Serious talk now ........ how scary can a video game be? I have not played any but it seems as though it would not be all that scary. Maybe I am way off but would like to know.

No scarier than a movie, I was home sick drugged up on numerous flu medicines and lacking much sleep (i cant sleep when im sick) played Resident Evil 4 for about 5 hours straight and this creature freaked me out,

silent hill, resident evil, and doom 3 beg to differ. there's alot of scary games out there. games can be scarier than movies IMO because you are the one in control of the character.

Just downloaded the demo, very impressed. I wasnt really that excited about this game before, but after playing the demo, I will be getting it on release day.

I'm with you GatorBait. I didn't like it very much either for the same reasons. Due to the camera I couldn't tell where I was aiming.

Let me preface this saying the following:

-I'm not a Resident Evil longtime fan.
-I have maybe 10 minutes RE time under my belt from all other games.
-I played this about a month ago.

Controls are ****. No movement while aimed is awful. Graphics are nice, idea is nice, but the gameplay is slow with sugglish controls that just make me frustrated.

After 5 minutes, I turned it off.

I realize this is the RE franchise gameplay. I now realize I hate it. Perhaps old school fans will like it, but I sincerely doubt new comers to the series will give it more than a rental at best because of the dated controls.

I just realized this. I think my biggest grip other than the movement/aiming bit is the speed of the game. It's almost like it's an actual arcade shooter with guns that's been adapted to a controller setup. I suppose it works, but it's not ideal and it irritates me. (I realize this isn't the case, just stating my opinion.)

Oh well, plenty of other games for me. To each their own.

played the demo the other night and got my butt handed to me.the game wasn't terrible or anything, but being able to actually move your character around would help.

then again i'm new to the resident evil series, i'm assuming they have all been like this.
