So buy it or not? I am wanting it bad but can't decide. I hate crappy controls. Is it worth it?

Rent it...they are having 2 multiplayer game modes coming out next month though..I bought it since I have a couple friends that may be picking it up so ill go through the campaign with them again..very good campaign!

Do you do gamefly Gator? Is it worth it? I hate renting at these corporate video stores.

One game out is like $15....two games out is $22 a month..and you can do it for the first month for like $9 to see if you like it.

Beat this game this afternoon. Very much enjoyed it. Actually started the 2nd playthrough tonight. Controls are very much upgraded compared to the demo. Good boss battles and tons of unlockables will make this fun to play over and over again.

Yeah there is a ton of replay ability for this game. Mercenaries mode is pretty good for getting points. Upgrading the weapons makes it a challenge again as well. Best game of the year IMO thus far.

i'm guessing the demo doesn't do this game justice? i might have to try this out soon.
I did not play the demo so I have no idea. The controls got a bit of getting used to, but after that I really liked the game. My biggest gripe is you can't move and shoot at the same time. But, it does make u use more strategy to win. I love the coop. I suggest maybe a rental and find a coop partner to play for a while. Then if it is not for u, only out ten bones....not so bad.

currently playing through this as a rental and i have to say that the controls still suck. they are not "upgraded" at all from the demo.

In the RE series you've always had to stop and shoot.

I think RE5 is a good game. It's not as good as RE4 but still pretty good. Controls aren't great but after I got used to them it wasn't an issue. The story is the usual load of crap though.

it's ok so far. i know that the RE series has always had the stop and shoot controls but this is the first time i've ever actually tried to play through one of the games, and it definitely takes some getting used to. switching items and/or weapons can be a really big pain.

Yes, it's extremely tough to press the dpad to change your weapon...

thats not what i'm talking about. i'm talking about the other stuff in your inventory thats not configured to the up, down, left, and right buttons on the d-pad. if i have a machine gun in the slot in the upper right hand corner of my d-pad that i want to use....i have to stop, press y, select it, and hit equip...not to mention that this is during combat alot of the time. it's a major pain

After getting used to the controls, I loved this game. I have no problem with the stand-still shooting since it creates more anxiety and challenging situations.

The story is pretty good, the graphics are great, and all of the unlockables give it tons of replayability.
