I'm not pointing any fingers. I'm speaking to all of us. :)

I've thought for some time it would be good to have one more category for information under our avatars. We have our "posts" and our "likes." It would be interesting to also see how many people have us on their "ignore list." Might cause some people to realize the true value of their contributions.

We do affect the program with negativism (and we have all said negative things) We do need to be positive and get behind the Vols win or lose because that's the only way to get to the top. The new recruits all talk about the family atmosphere and we need to do our part as well. Thanks freak for caring enough to keep us in line!

I love hearing everyone's opinion, even when they are wrong. Lol

Might encourage some people to see how many people they could get to ignore them lol. Like it was an achievement or something. Might work in the inverse of how you want.

Maybe so. I'd never know though because they would be on my ignore list. LOL!

The thread title sounds like you're talking in 3rd Person.

I never knew Freak was really Bo Jackson.

Guys, it's time to put some of the bickering and nonsense in this forum behind us. I feel like I'm stuck in the movie Groundhog Day, reading threads turn into the same pointless discussions over and over.

The basketball forum is a place for Tennessee fans to come hang out with like-minded people to discuss the team in a friendly and civil way. Think of it as discussing your favorite team with a group of friends. We may not always agree, but there's no reason to continually attack/mock others with a different viewpoint. We're all on the same side, after all.

Donnie has his boys playing well and there's a lot to be excited about and tons to discuss and dissect. We just knocked off the #19 ranked team for crying out loud. Let's all take a deep breath and kick back and enjoy the ride and discuss Tennessee basketball, instead of constantly poking at each other.

I know some of you won't admit to using the report button, but as a favor to me, if you see people who aren't following along with the above, hit the report button and bring it to my attention.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate all of you who regularly post here, and I look forward to hanging out and discussing the Vols with you guys for the rest of the season. We have some great basketball minds here and I love reading what you guys post.

Those of you who only lurk, come on in and post. The water's getting warmer.

Go Vols!
:hi:

Thanks for the update Freak. I've always appreciated how you've been involved with all the "normal" members of VN. It's encouraging to see you around.

Anyway, I completely agree with everything you said. Basketball Forum has always been enjoyable, and yes, there are some good basketball minds. Aside from the constant "experts" who think they could run the UT Athletic Dept. better than the current AD, and never stop talking about previous coaches and drag old crap into the forum. I wish we would simply move on from Pearl, CCM, and the players who have left UT. What's done is done. I look forward to posting more here, and thanks for the update Freak.

p.s. I blame Jerry as well.

:hi:

This ^^ right here needs to be stickied at the top of every forum on the site! Words to live by.

The internet has made it all too easy for people to be "tough guys" and talk to others like they are incompetent. I'd be willing to bet that 99% of the stuff said on here would not be said face to face.
