Republicans Trying to Start a Civil War in Texas

well congrats on being a democrat then.

how is Texas going even more red going to fix any of those states you are complaining about? It won't. Texas should be worried about fairly representing their people. what some other state does is no business of texas.

instead of trying to get better, or finding some common sense common ground, Texas just went full potato, and made a bad situation worse.

The Rs should be running away with elections with how dumb the Dems are being. But instead of maintaining a facade of modicum they are jumping into the crazy too. ensuring nothing gets fixed or better, and you are sitting on the sidelines clapping like a seal because it entertains you.
Democrats don't give a flying **** about 'fair'.

And you are right the Rs should be running away with it, but they are to arrogant/stupid to do so.

and like you too dumb playing the Democrats game.

them not being "fair" would be completely irrelevant if the Rs were doing their job. The D's get away with not being "fair" because the R's aren't any better.

The R's being dumb empowers the D's to be dumb. And the D's being dumb empowers the R's to be dumb.

until someone actually votes for better you are just going to keep getting worse and worse results.

The SCOTUS has already stated that gerrymandering is political and beyond their jurisdiction. You are trying to take politics out of politics.

I am trying to leave a state matter to the individual state.

again why is it any of Texas's business if Massachusetts doesn't have an R district?

If texas wants to redistrict, just do it. I would prefer no gerrymandering and dumb districts, but its their right. don't drag other states into your reasoning. Texas is letting other states dictate how Texas does business, that is bad business no matter what.

Texas was/is doing the matters related to their state. It was only when the media screamed of the horrors this was causing that responses were made pointing out the hypocrisy of these claims.

"MARGARET BRENNAN: I want to ask you about something your party is tinkering with here, redistricting or gerrymandering, as some people know it. You’ve said you don’t like talking about it, but all options are on the table when it comes to your state. There’s only one- one seat here that is actually Republican, and it’s a seat held by Representative Andy Harris. Are you considering trying to redraw lines in Maryland?"

Lol.

So what do you think about Trump instructing the DOJ to sue California over its redistricting then?

I will have to wait to see what he is alleging in the suit. If it is related to counting illegal immigrants as part of the congressional apportionment, then I view it as good.

I have less problems with it than I do with the other side hypocritically claiming the moral high ground by disavowing their blatant political intent in Redistricting.
It has ALWAYS been a naked exertion political power throughout our nation’s history. I don’t like it but I will at least give the Republicans credit for actually admitting it.
