There never was a Constitutional right to have an abortion. There was only a far left activist Supreme Court that illegally legislated from the bench because they didn’t have the votes to pass laws through Congress. The Supreme Court hasn’t banned abortions either. It properly made it a state issue because there is no Constitutional right to have an abortion.

My statement is correct but lacking context... the SC did *effectively* ban abortion in many states through its Hobbs decision. Regardless, I did previously go back and edit my post on this issue to reflect that the SC did not ban anything outright.

The FBI approved Sen. John Cornyn’s request to locate the contingent of quorum-breaking Texas Democrats, the senator said Thursday, though it remains unclear how the agency would proceed in the absence of a breach of federal law.

It is unclear what resources the FBI is investing or how it is approaching the situation as there is no apparent legal breach under its purview.

Can you point to the rule they are breaking? Their boss are the voters in their district. If their constituents are cool with it then so be it. Only a bunch of civil charges can br brought. And they can be removed. But its a process

Their constituents are in charge of electing them or removing them. Their salaries and expenses are paid by all of the taxpayers in the state and they should be cut off. I understand that you aren’t saying they should continue to be paid. I’m just throwing that out there.

Agreed. My broader point is that their are no rules, that I can find, dictating how many sessions a rep can or can't miss.
