I think it is very interesting to see that you are hoping the UF fans are "scared" now that there is a "new Sheriff" in Knoxville and he is aggressive. I think we are all in a wait and see stance.

I'm not hoping you guys are scared, the fact that Gay Nation trolls are worried enough to come here, register, and post to get they're point across shows that they're worried about something. Why couldn't Gay Nation be more like us and just ignore it when someone calls you a cheater. Cause you're scared.

Truth be known, I think you guys are more scared than the Gator Nation could be. Scared that this is not the answer, and the answer is a coach or two away. All the posts in the world won't answer that question. performance on Saturday in the fall is the only answer.

You're showing you're nothing more than a Gay Nation troll who has no read on the pulse of our program. This phony opinion is way off, minus the few Rush Limbaugh-like Fulmerites who are praying for Kiffin's failure. You're clueless.

I agree mostly with your last post... but I do have 2 issues.

First... I cannot speak for the whole volnation but I don't care about the heisman... ESPN influences that way too much... I know we say it all the time but Peyton Manning was robbed. The guy that one it wasn't even the best on his team. If TN gets a winner of the Heisman... great... but I don't really care either way.

Secondly, I don't think everyone posting on here today is scared if CLK is going to do great. So far... from what I've seen, I have liked most of what he has done. You are right that he has proved nothing really since he isn't in a game yet. But Post/Pre-Season is a factor of how the season will go, and I like the whole staff... I like the new recruits... And I like that he is making the current players actually work hard... He is making the lineman puke they are working so hard.

Am I hoping this all adds up to wins... Yes
Will it? we won't know till the games

BUT, without these changes, TN would be still on the path down to the bottom. And so far, CLK is making it look like we are turning this ship around.

The SEC is used to quiet Fulmer be ever gracious and the kind old grandpa who every once in a while did some spanking... but his hand stopped doing that spanking... So for now TN is just gonna yell at you till our hand is strong enough again!

GO VOLS!

Step back for a second.

Spurrier questioned whether Kiffin had done what he needed to do before he went out recruiting.

Kiffin said Meyer CHEATED and broke a rule that did not exist.

I can understand why Vol fans can't see the difference. Take off the lite orange colored glasses.

The rule is every bit in existence as the rule against Kiffin accusing Meyer of cheating. They are both against a code of ethics and Kiffin knew that. Is it worse to break a code of ethics by hounding a recruit while on an official visit or is it worse to call that coach out for doing it? Seems like an easy answer to me.

Using your words:

"Spurrier tried to get the new tn coach in trouble"

Kiffin called the Florida Coach a Cheater.

Pretty big difference to me. Oh yeah, Kiffin was wrong. The so called rule that Meyer broke does not exist.

We haven't even gotten to the comments Kiffin made about the high school where your new, haven't practiced, haven't played a down recruit is still attending classes.

Kiffin did it at a UT function and Spurrier did it in a press conference. Big difference there. Would you really want all of the ridiculous things said about other schools at UF events aired? I liked you guys better when you were cocky instead of whiny and self righteous.

Chattanooga dude: Your posts are exactly why I have come here to read and learn. I never ever said that ALL VOLS feel that way. I bet you dollars to doughnuts (sorry Fulmer, it just came out) that there are a whole lot of folks in Red Bank, Soddy Daisy, Mont Eagle, and other locations throughout the volunteer state that are concerned about the Kiffin hiring. Concerned about his age and experience. He is an unknown. I know that you want to turn things around in Knoxville.

I agree that Kiffin has shaken things up and is totally distancing himself from the prior staff. Good for him, as long as it is good for the program. If he can back it up, then he looks like a hero, if he fails, then he looks like a cocky young man who got in over his head.

We are never, ever going to agree about the false accusation of Meyer. I think it was wrong, and unjustified. You think it is acceptable and OK to be called a cheat and just ignore it.

To call me clueless and a member of the Gay Nation is, well, juvenile.

Please son, read the whole post. I know the words without pictures make it difficult.

The great hope of the Vol Nation made comments about the school where your new 5 star recruit is "STILL ATTENDING CLASSES". I know this is a difficult concept. I should have said "GOING TO SCHOOL". Sorry.

As far as being relevant, bring it on. I for one hope that you do become relevant again. I like the rivalry, and it has become the fourth or fifth most important game on the Florida schedule.

Truly, right now we are more concerned about Georgia, and Mississippi. Tennessee has become irrelevant. It is sad. Please, be relevant. Climb the mountain. Win some football games. Contend. Have a game that matters in November. Please.

You don't become relevant by comments to a booster group. You become relevant by winning on the field in September, October and November. Until UT does that no one in Florida is scared.

Congratulations you won the "booster comment" game in February. Problem for you is UF just won the BCS game in January. Football games trump booster meeetings.

Peace

You are correct in saying there is no difference in Tomato/Tomato.

You are incorrect in saying inuendo is no different that coming out and accusing someone.

If you believe that then go home to your significant other and accuse them of something they DID NOT DO. See what happens.

As for calling me a "liberal pansy", you could not be further from the truth. I guess the name calling has shown that in a battle of wits, you are clearly not prepared to do battle.

What did you talk smack about pre-1990? Hate to break it to you but we were winning NC's while you guys were a joke, all-girls school in Hogtown. Keep acting like a cocky little teenager and see how you get treated when the cyclical nature of college football bites you in the A. You aren't even the most storied program in your own state for God's sake!

Gay Nation is a self appointed handle, so please don't be insulted. Did you not watch the National Championship postgame?

Most of the people who are concerned about his age don't follow football closely. They look at win/loss records and assume that Fulmer was better.

BTW, Gay Nation is no more juvenile than your ridiculous "King of College Sports" references.

I see it. Lane choose to call a spade a spade. He wasn't as sly about it.

That IS the difference.

What does his being "unknown" have to do with anything? Meyer was a leap of faith to many people when he was hired. The fact is Kiffin called out Meyer and thought it would be fine since he was accused of cheating once he arrived in Knoxville. He's been attacked by all the big name SEC coaches since his hiring. And now he fires back and Meyer and Foley go crying to Daddy like the spoiled little girls that they are and Kiffin gets his slap on the wrist. If you don't think calling a recruit on an official visit to somewhere is not sleazy then you are clueless. The fact is Kiffin is shaking things up and he doesn't have to prove himself to do that. Your coaches nickname isn't "Urban Cryer" for nothing. He's whiney and has questionable ethics and everybody knows it except Florida fans. If you knew what all went on behind closed doors you wouldn't be over here on volnation running your mouth because it makes you look like an uninformed ass.

I love the way insults and names are hurled about over here. I am an uninformed ass. Tell me oh great seer. What has gone on behind those closed doors?

If you know it all, come to Kiffin's defense and back him up.

Urban Meyer has been given many nicknames by those who do not like him. How is Kiffin's statement not "crying" that Meyer contacted his player.

Oh by the way, the player in question, and UT both tried to smokescreen the official visit. Listen to Kiffin's entire comments at the booster luncheon. If what the player had said was true, then he would not have been on an "official visit".

But once again, don't let the facts get in your way. Meyer contacting the player was not a rule violation.

Kiffin criticizing Meyer about a non-existent rule was a violation of the Ethics rules.

Here's what you don't get....you uninformed @ss. Yesterday, when ALL NATIONWIDE sports should have been raving Florida, Alabama, LSU, etc. heralded recruiting classes......they weren't. Guess where the spotlight was centered. Squarely on UT! He stole your limelight and made your coach look like a crybaby and even got your goofy blind @ss to come to our message board to further look stupid. Keep us in the spotlight...keep talking about him on your boards. Keep him on ESPN.com & all the radio shows. I'm laughing my tail off at all this! Brilliant!

Here is what you don't understand. The focus is on UT and questions are being asked about the hiring of Mr. Kiffin. Right now you think it is cool, but outside of Tennessee, everyone is laughing at you. Sorry, but it is the way it is.

It doesn't matter who is laughing. Actually, LSU is ticked off....Gators are ticked off....Bammers are over here in droves. We are the center of attention. We are coming off a 5 win season and the media is all over us. Some articles are positive, some articles are negative. Keep writing them and it won't matter. Just keep it in the spotlight. Keep posting gator. Keep posting all over the internet. I want UT in the top 20 thread titles on all our rivals boards. So does Kiffin. Everywhere you look you are seeing UT. Thanks for the help man!

Did you watcth the PTI link that's been posted in many threads? Kornheiser and Wilbon weren't laughing at us; they both proclaimed it a "great" move. You smack the bully in the mouth.

I hope Kiffin does more of it. A "reprimand" from the SEC commissioner's office means about as much as a nasty note from the Tooth Fairy.

Richardson was listed as an official visitor on this site:

Scout.com: Football Recruiting

He was also listed as an official visitor in the following article at govols.com:

WR Richardson final flip is a visit; DT Coleman, DT Jones also join visitors : Football Recruiting : GoVolsXtra.com

No need in letting the facts get in the way while defending Meyer's questionable recruiting ethics.

Some of the people on this board will hate you no matter what you say, just cause you are a gator fan. I bleed Orange, and pretty much hate Florida cause they are a rival....but I damn sure respect them as the best team in the NCAA. You can be a fan and pick on your rivals while still also being an objective college football fan. Kiffin should have known the rules before he opened his mouth, but dont act like your HC is some sort of saint or something. And we are not "scared" that Kiffin is the wrong choice....we have no reason to be yet. Look at the class he put together, only having a full staff for all of 3 weeks, and we took two highly rated players right out from under UF's nose....I am excited to see what he can do with an entire year to recruit.
