Ok, if clk gets told to apologize for publicly ousting fl and the cumster...

Why didn't spur.up.his.a*# get in trouble for saying tn and clk cheated in the beginning?

The fact that CLK wasn't the poster coach for the conference is a huge factor as well. CUM and his AD squealing and crying fowl was the biggest factor though.

Because Spurrier always plays dumb about it. He never comes straight out and says something. He has his way of getting something out there and acting like he's not completely sure and that he is trying to be funny. The only thing funny about Spurrier anymore is why this coach still thinks shuffling quarterbacks works.

If the current top 4 in the SEC Meyer/Saban/Miles/Richt can't give the ''new'' guy any more latitute than this it tells me they are very concerned about him, and his staff making the Vols a steamroller again. If they didn't think he was a threat they be dismissing him at every opportunity and laughing it off.

Step back for a second.

Spurrier questioned whether Kiffin had done what he needed to do before he went out recruiting.

Kiffin said Meyer CHEATED and broke a rule that did not exist.

I can understand why Vol fans can't see the difference. Take off the lite orange colored glasses.

No, spurrier tried to get the new tn coach in trouble. He did it in the open and if true it would have been a problem.

I'm not saying clk is in the clear but I think that "commissioner slime" needs to watch every one and ask for all apologies or none. Not just defend the poster children.

I don't care about what spurrier said. I am merely pointing out the double standard.

Others get a pass while tn gets treated like a child.

Slive should have told fl and tn to work it out. He didn't need to throw the rule book at clk.

Using your words:

"Spurrier tried to get the new tn coach in trouble"

Kiffin called the Florida Coach a Cheater.

Pretty big difference to me. Oh yeah, Kiffin was wrong. The so called rule that Meyer broke does not exist.

We haven't even gotten to the comments Kiffin made about the high school where your new, haven't practiced, haven't played a down recruit is still attending classes.

Another difference. SOS made his comments TO THE MEDIA. CLK made his to a group of donors... he didn't pick up the phone, call the media and give them a quote.

Hire a child, and get treated like a child......

Kiffin made the comments in public, and by now everyone has heard them. Why should he handle this in private when Kiffin started in public.

Maybe, just maybe, if Kiffin had read the rule book he would not have made the comment and had the rule book thrown at him.

Firstly it is spelled kiffin. I know how hard it is for you to check facts.

Secondly, he tried to make lane out as a cheater.

To me it looks very similar... If not... Then slive wasn't going to do anything anyways.

Is the donor room some mystic secret organization where you can say what you want and not worry about the truth?

If Kiffin did not expect reporters to be at the function, and did not expect his comments to be recorded, he really is a newbie and needs a handler to be appointed by the UT administration.

If you think for a moment that Kiffin does not know the rule book, then you are sadly mistaken. It was a calculated move.

I'm sure he realized the comment would get out but didn't expect the PMS-type response from G'ville (since he laughed off a similar attack from SOS). All this does is get UT in the public eye again and not for a coach crying on TV. I would much prefer this lead in

If and when CLK beats UM and the Gators two years running.....there will be two things that will be true then that isn't true now. One is Tennessee will be a top ten team again, and two the media will be sayin how UM is fading and CLK is on the move and no mention of smack will be noted. Winning cures all ills.

Do you really want to get in a battle of wits about coach's names. The whole Vol Nation is all a twitter about the CUM moniker. Just like a room full of 13 year old boys with a Playboy on the table.

Before this is all over he will be Lame Kitten anyway, so don't worry about my spelling.

Once again you are trying to let the facts interrupt your argument. "trying to make someone out as a cheater" by questioning is totally different than coming out and saying someone IS A CHEATER.

Kiffin screwed up. He was wrong. Admit it, embrace it and accept the commissioner's punishment.

Urban's time will come. Teams will catch up. Tebow's a senior. Urban will run to some obscure Big 10 or Independant (ND) team to bolster his arrogance.

You are a PR wizard.....and not sure of what "punishment" your talking about.
