Don't wanna go OT here. But whyyyyy do we use Brooks in a rugby style run and kick scenario like last week? Dude is 6.6 and looks totally uncomfortable in the role. Why not let the guy do what he does?

Is RS punting designed as a option to throw off defenses. UI had an elite returner and we did a good job avoiding him. Is it to avoid a return? I just don't get it.

Tim Priest asked Brooks about this post game on Vol Network radio. Yeah, you guessed it. What I got from Brooks' response is that the rugby style punt is intended to get some of our coverage guys an easier track to the ball to prevent a return.

Paxton Brooks took his job back. Doyle punted 41.1 avg. Brooks improved to 41.6 avg. Rather than sit, Doyle decided to look for where he'd be the primary punter. He's good enough to be so why not?

Dustin has two sons Brinkley and Colston. Britton has one....Nash. Hopefully they were smart enough to space them all at least 3 years apart.
They have daughters too. Girls can play football if they want. Especially if they can average 45 yds per punt and hold kicks!!

"Punting average" is not a meaningful stat.

Sometimes you're trying to punt the ball inside the 10. Also a shorter, but higher punt that prevents a return is better than a longer, but lower punt that yields a big return. Given this, a 0.5 ypa difference is meaningless.

Paxton may have won the job, but it wasn't because the 0.5 ypa difference.

Seems like a good kid who loved Tennessee enough to play for the Vols without a scholarship. I wish him the best.
Good kid, hard worker. I really wanted to see him be a big story here.
