Any money schiano gets(if any) should be paid by currie. He hand picked this guy , didnt want a search firm, so let him pay for his own mistake.

Currie should pay Schiano out of his own pocket, that is if he can remove Schiano's hand from his pants:eek:lol:

I work with lots of MOUs, also called Letter of Intent, etc. They are always non-binding and not a contract (They always state that in bold letters). They also require a written contract before anything is binding. I have seen some MOUs state if a contract is not entered into, the party will get damages equal to its attorney fees negotiating the contract and any due diligence expenses (e.g., appraisals, surveys, environmental inspections, etc.). The due diligence expenses would not be applicable in this case but I just wanted to give an idea of how it works. I am a TX attorney and I do business and commercial real estate work.

I would anticipate any expenses that he has incurred in the hiring process to be reimbursed.

And Currie to pay them out of pocket! :dance2:

Currie is just doing what he’s told by Jimmy Haslam! Everybody needs to wake up! The other administration just sticks their head in the sand! It’s time for all Vol Nation to rise up and take more power back from the Haslams! Let them keep ruining the Browns!

Ruin the Browns? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! They were garbage long before the Haslams took over!

The last time we were decent Modell moved the team to Baltimore and they went down in flames!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ruining..... ;)

Fact is he may get it if he can prove his innocence

**** I read somewhere he left the staff in 95 and the first incident wasn’t reported till 98

Now I don’t know much about any of that penn st **** details wise but y’all definitely could of jumped the gun and just been pissed about any kind of association with that whole thing whether true or not

Jesus mf'ering Christ.

You spent very little time researching this subject.

Go to Google and type in Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky

Tons and tons of links to police reports from the early 90's. And even more links to allegations from the 70's.

This ain't rocket surgery. A d.mn 10
Second search online will give you all the facts of the case.

This is Currie's fault.

My family and I were talking about the possibility of Schiano being hired yesterday. We all agreed that it would be awful, and people would not stand for it.

If I could see this coming, why couldn't Currie?

Maybe the situation was too slippery for him to care.

A M.O.U. isn't a contrast. And don't contracts have to get the rubber stamp from the University before becoming official?

TO get this story buried, UT will end up paying a million to schiano -- just raise booster fees and ticket prices to cover it -- no big deal

The reference to 1998 is NOT true. The charges were for incidents starting in 1994 and most believe they had been occurring since even before then.

Ok but isn’t it basically Schiano’s word against some other guys?

I don’t blame you guys I wouldn’t want anybody associated with that mess either but clay travis tweets riled up the fan base like I never seen lol Schiano should go after him too

McQueary put his hand on the Bible and swore under oath. Perjury is a serious crime.

Sandusky was abusing kids for decades. Including early 90s

I think this is crap. From what I've heard, he wanted out as bad as we wanted him gone after the riots began. I believe it was mutual.

We'll be off the hook if the MOU included terms like “subject to contract”, “subject to formal contract” and “non-binding”.....if it did not specify those terms, and all parties signed the agreement spelling out employment and salaries then yeah, the memorandum is as good as a contract and we will have to settle.
