Report: Greg Schiano seeking compensation for broken deal with Tennessee

How much compensation Schiano is seeking remains to be seen, but if the Ohio State defensive coordinator gets even a penny from Tennessee, it will be a horrible look for AD John Currie.
Vol Nation is none too happy with the Vols’ athletic director these days, and it may be tough for him to weather this storm he has created.

Currie needs to be out on his a** by morning. He make Mike Hamilton look competent by comparison.

Any money schiano gets(if any) should be paid by currie. He hand picked this guy , didnt want a search firm, so let him pay for his own mistake.

Letting the fan base twist in the wind for days and weeks without a peep is enough to terminate the AD. What on earth did he think he was doing?

This is Currie's fault.

My family and I were talking about the possibility of Schiano being hired yesterday. We all agreed that it would be awful, and people would not stand for it.

If I could see this coming, why couldn't Currie?

Fact is he may get it if he can prove his innocence

Lol @ Schiano having any other offers. This was a freaking Essex bargain hire typical of our eunuch AD for the last 20 yrs. Thank goodness the fans killed this deal. Biggest win of 2017.

Ok but isn’t it basically Schiano’s word against some other guys?

I don’t blame you guys I wouldn’t want anybody associated with that mess either but clay travis tweets riled up the fan base like I never seen lol Schiano should go after him too

McQueary specifically called Schiano out in his testimony that he saw Sandusky molest a boy in the shower

Just shows he is a Douche.

Give him nothing & tell him if he wants the job to come on down........ If he doesn't...... Which he won't....... Then nothing would be owed anyway.

Frekin Currie needs to be shown the door...... Just like the Douche who has the shortest coaching stint in history was shown the door before he ever got here.

With all due respect, many of the same people backing off Schiano were also calling for his head only a few hours ago. Many who were also on the "where there's smoke there's fire" train with Butch rumors. Let's be real guys and gals. Currie and the Haslams and who ever set this up put us in a no win situation. If Shiano wasn't sent packing some group would have called us out and made us look even worse. I remember the news stories about Schaino when he went to OSU. They weren't exactly thrilled either....he was hired by Urban and he was winning. The right decision is rarely the most popular and is always the hardest. Let the weak chastise us publicly while they thank the good Lord above they didn't have to make the same decision.

Yeah good luck with that. I'd like to get compensated every time a client agrees to a proposal before a contract is signed too.

Currie is just doing what he’s told by Jimmy Haslam! Everybody needs to wake up! The other administration just sticks their head in the sand! It’s time for all Vol Nation to rise up and take more power back from the Haslams! Let them keep ruining the Browns!
