Repainting the outside of Neyland Stadium

Today while paying my respects to Pat I saw they have a large tarp over the upper deck bleachers and concourse (covering the visible exterior) above gate 10 (next to Jumbotron TBA side). To the left it looks like the rust has been knocked off the bleachers and nice new coat of paint applied, hope they do the whole thing before season starts, looks much better.

Thanks for the update. Some of us who don't live in the area don't get to keep up with things like this.

Too bad you weren't carrying your camera with you to take a photograph...?

Drove over for the CPF Roast this past weekend. Looks like 60% of campus is under construction. Pretty soon I will have to say.....that's where XXx used to be.........

Seen this the other day while fishing on the river. I figured that was what they were doing. It definitely needs it.

dude....exactly. i was out there a copule months ago, whent to the new UC, walking around back there wehre the OLD UC used to be, entrance to the Hill, looking at Neyland, back up Andy Holt.....mercy. lots of changes, but mostly all for the good. looks great. but waay different than my day 20 something years ago.

Same here. I'm just 10 years out. No more Glocker, janky parking garage next to the UC, Strong Hall is wildly different.

My daughter's previous boyfriend worked at the stadium - it's actually a good gig. Painting in the stadium is a common occurrence throughout the off-season. Although this sounds like a bigger project than normal.

Same here. My dad used to take me all over campus as a kid.

I still remember the Roman Room. First place I ever saw a condom machine. Still hold a grudge against McAllister's to this day for replacing it.

We are Vols. Our color is orange. If they're painting any color other than orange I will never attend another game at Neyland Stadium.
