people were ripping that sign because it was false about how often we say, its our year. most people have been realistic about this team over the last few years(within a game). this year has been a let down, and alot of people did say it was our year so, the guy would have 1 or 2 dollars.
It's called a joke; you don't take the dollar amount literally. Also he probably means hearing fans say it, so that would make it a lot more than 1 or 2 dollars.
Plus I'm not sure how "realistic" this place has been. 3 of the past 5 seasons a good number have said "This is our year" meaning at least win the East (2012, 2015, 2016).

I'm not talking about the fringe fans, I'm talking most of the fans. sure on one side you have fans that think we will never lose, and on the other we have fans that predict 4 wins. I'm talking the majority of fans.

yes, it was. did some think it possible, sure(2015), but not many was betting we was going to.
very few in 2012 thought that we had any chance.
That's complete bullsh## revisionist history. You're not dealing with some bandwagon jumper like D4H, I've been around a long time.
2012 people were going crazy that Dooley was finally getting it done, and the people saying wait and see were being shouted down. People turned on Dooley when he blew the Florida game. It was like a switch.
Almost the same thing happened last year, people were into UT until he blew the UF game and lost to Arkansas.
And it wasn't just here, it was out in the "real world" too.

like I said most people were within a game, I'm not talking about the loud minority on both sides. I'm talking about the majority of this fan base, that don't post very often.
