I have been following her story for some time. She and especially her family seemed not to have a realistic concept of how much effort and dedication it took to become good enough to play on any sort of D1 team in todays reality. You just can not play on a lower level high school program and also play mulitple sports in the off season instead of playing AAU or working on your game year round. Most top players play year round along with working with individual trainers on their skills. Especially if you are 5'5" Being a good athlete is not enough anymore. She would have had to work her rear off just to get any kind of D1 offer. 5'5" pg with out a consistent outside shot are a dime a dozen today.

Most people have no idea the effort and work that most girl basketball players who want scholarships usually have to go through.
