Remember JP is a rookie hc

Possibly, my last thought on the SC loss that I will share for the time being, maybe. I did not think we'd win this one back in August. I did think we'd win this one after we beat AU assuming we didn't get too many injuries vs Bama. Even with Trey out, I thought we could win and we should have. This was a missed opportunity and when we're having the almost inevitable discussions in 2020 or 2021, people are going to look back on this one in the same light that we were looking at Butch's 2016 loss to SC last year.

Any time a rookie head coach takes over the first year is a trial and error year. Who really thinks he could out coach Muschamp? Really? He is figuring it out. But I'm tired of UT hiring first time coaches. I know he's the 28th choice but maybe they need to address this issue.

JP has a 20 million dollar deal. Don't think he is going anywhere anytime soon win or lose.

no, they won't.

now, could they look back at this loss in the same light as we did the 2013 loss to Vandy? that's certainly a possiblity.

right now there'snot much seperating what happened in 2013 from what's happened this year. we beat that USCe team in Knoxville, and that was a big win. we narrowly avoided winnning agianst UGA.

we got the big win against Auburn this year, and narrowing avoided winning the USCe game.

i don't think a lot of people that post here know what they're looking at in terms of "eye test". i look at this team this year, and compare it to that 2013 team, and i see a lot of similarities....results wise. i think they're wholly different from a core philosophy standpoint.

we have the benefit of hindsight now with that team though. and many are trying to apply that hindsight to what's happening right now and it just doesn't fit.

it might fit. 4 years from now or whatever.

but to say "it is", is just inflamatory and trolling basically.

Irrelevant and kinda dumb fade, IMO. VN didn't make the decision, so what difference does it make. Neither one of them have done chit here and how long has Leach been at his current position? 7-8 years? Too lazy to look it up.

Smdh.

We didn’t choose the coach here? I feel so deceived

I agree, but how do you know?

I dont know for sure just like everyone else. Maybe I am wrong but that was one of the huge issues. Currie keot everyone in the dark. Then when Fulmer came in and hired Pruitt, it gave ammo to the Fulmer haters to blame him for not getting a proven HC.

I dont think Currie extended any real offers to Gundy, Leach or Brohm. I believe that the only real offer was Schiano.

Well aware of it and he's made some rookie mistakes. No one is immune to criticism. I like most of what i've saw so far though, few things he could do better. He's handcuffed with this roster. You could dig up Lombardi and it wouldn't matter. Jones was a crapfest of a coach.
