That would be a sixth place finish for us as far as the SEC Tourney. As for the NCAA we win the remaining games a 4 seed and were hosting in Knoxville the first two rounds.

I think going 5-1 (loss @UK) secures us a top 4 seed and being a host. The girls have been in every game at the end and only @Vandy wasn’t to a top 10 team. Coach Caldwell has proven she can coach and the system works. This team may even make a deep run in the tourney THIS year. It’s a very bright future for the Lady Vols.

Kentucky’s record is deceiving I think, only played 2 “ranked” lowly SEC teams all the others are bottom tier; don’t think they stay in the Top 10. They are an annoying team to me for some reason, maybe because Georgia Ammore has been playing for what feels like 8 years

I often wonder if we could have had Ammore instead of Rennie

I feel the same about Kentucky. For a while I tried to at least be happy that Tamari Key's little sis was doing well, but now I'm even disinterested in her and just want them to lose all the rest of their games.

Kentucky losing to Ole Miss is a surprise. Although it might be Kentucky reaching reality or just the toughness of playing in the SEC.

Go Lady Vols! :)

Probably both. Sure was good to see, because one of my big hopes for this season is for the world of women's basketball to collectively agree at the end that the most successful SEC newcomer coach was Kim Caldwell, not Kenny Brooks.

My HOPE with regard to rest of season losses:
Kentucky: Ole Miss, Texas, SC, LSU, TN = 10-6
Alabama: TN, LSU = 10-6
Ole Miss: TN, SC, LSU = 9-7
Vandy: SC, and I think the lose one of TAMU, Auburn, Miss State = 9-7
Oklahoma: Vandy, Alabama = 9-7
Tennessee: none = 10-6

We would have the head to head over Kentucky and Alabama if this plays out the way I hope and get the fourth seed and a double bye in the SEC tournament and would potentially get us the last 3 seed in the NCAA tournament 🤞🏿🤞🏿

I hope your right, Oklahoma losing to Vandy and Alabama isn't a huge stretch but it's pushing it.

I don't think Kentucky beats us with what I saw against Ole Miss last night. We will own the offensive glass against them and our pressure defense us better than Ole miss.

That's what I'm thinking. Lots of teams seem to have hit their ceiling and Tennessee seems to be getting better, especially with more of an offensive attack that's more balanced inside/out and their decision making. If the mental aspect continues to improve down the stretch we will win the rest of the SEC games we have on our schedule. That 4 seed at the SEC tournament is still possible.

Sure is. Candy just took one of the losses I predicted to Mississippi State.

Now what we need, in addition to winning out, is for OK to lose two more games since they have the tiebreak over us. Best chances for that are against Vandy next Thursday and Alabama on March 2 in the last game of the season. Both games are at OK so they'll def be favored. Also need Vandy to lose again but they will.

edited bc I realize we need OK to lose two more, not one.

They are so annoying to me too! It is literally statistically impossible to have an easier SEC schedule than they did the first 10 games. They also only have to play LSU, Texas, and SC once. They got killed by UNC earlier in the year. I have no problem if a team is objectively good, but the way that their SEC schedule worked out is annoying and they are clearly not a top 10 team IMO.

I like the way you think. I too believe the LVs will end with a 10--6 record in SEC play. GBO.
