i know we suck bad but i would like to see some of these other teams that are getting so much hype (Mizzou, Texas Tech, Notre Dame, North Carolina, the list goes on and on) play Florida, Auburn and Georgia in 4 week span, id bet they would have 3 or 4 losses right now too

I agree with that. I am not trying to excuse our crappy play in any way but the sec is one of the toughest conferences to play in.

Miss. State...........W (They Lost to LA Tech)
Alabama................L (closer than the experts think)
So Carolina...........W (there offense is just as bad as ours---game of turnovers and field position)
Wyoming...............W (They're clawful)
Vanderbilt..............L (They're good)
Kentucky..............W (Playing for more than just another win-we've got to keep the streak alive)

*We looked a lot better in that UGA loss. Our offense showed glimmers of hope.

We go to a really crappy bowl, and Fulmer "retires" at the end of the season

Yea we would probably still have 4 losses if we had any 4 teams in the top 50 in division 1 but that was a pretty rough strecth that we just had and i dont think any of some certain teams in the top 25 could have come out of that with a better record then what we have

The only game I see coming away with an almost sure win is Wyoming, they're as bad as us when it comes to scoring. The rest of the games just leave me with a bad feeling.

not sure how you can write MSU off because "they lost to LA Tech, but then go on to say we'll lose to Vandy because "they're good." you do realize that MSU beat Vandy yesterday right? oh, and you do remember that we lost to UCLA, right??
We will beat Wyoming and Kentucky...that's it for the rest of this year. get ready for Jim Grobe in Knoxville!
not that I want Grobe (at all), I just think that's what is going to happen.

I don't see any quality wins for the season. Northern Illinois beat 1-5 Miami by just 4 points, UAB is 1-6.

Mississippi st. win by 10
Alabama loss by 22
SO. Carolina win by 3
wyoming win by 24
Vanderbilt win by 2
Kentucky win by 3

I hope your right about the wins anyhow. As much as I would like us to beat vandy I am not sure it can happen. Vandy has improved and well lets just be nice and say we havent.
I do think we beat wyoming but not by 24.

Don't know what Vol team you've been watching but this team can't score enought to beat ANYBODY by 24 pts!!! Let alone go 3-3 the remainder of the season. 1 win, possibly 2; tops!!!! Bring on the B-ball season!!!

the vols remaining games:

October 18 Mississippi State
October 25 No. 2 Alabama
November 1 at South Carolina
November 8 Wyoming
November 22 at No. 22 Vanderbilt
November 29 Kentucky

i think its fair that we lose at least 2 of those games.... whether its Bama and Vandy or SC and Kentucky i think were heading towards another 5-6 season and David Cutcliffe isn't coming to save the day again either. Fulmers gone at the end of the season

Obviously as I painfully learned against ucla "nothing is a sure thing," BUT...we win out upsetting bama coming into neyland #1, tough wins against miss st. socar, vandy, and ky, finish in a bowl we don't want, get beat, and CPF turns in the head set.
