Yeah it does wonders for cancer patients having to deal with the side effects of chemotherapy.

So tell me why do we arrest people every single day for smoking a plant? We know that it is not a schedule 1 drug and that it actually does help people. Yet we just sit here and continue to let this crap happen. Just like everything in this country. I'm tired of being lied to and I'm tired of having my fellow Americans be royally screwed over by a unjust system.

I'm with you about legalizing it. Too much jail space is taken up by people who tried to buy a dime bag from the wrong guy. There's a lot more violent criminals who really need to be in prison. Legalize it then make a bundle putting a govt stamp on it and tax it.

Because I am damn human being and I have sense enough to know what i should and shouldn't put into my body. I will not and I never will believe this **** that was fed to us by people that had something to gain from it being illegal.

Well I think employers, lenders, etc have a right to not associate with drug users if they don't want to.

That's all I'm saying. It seems like a common sense view that I'm pretty sure most people now see. Now we have to wait on our politicians to get their ducks in a row before it happens though. I'm sure they will be the first ones to try and make as much money off of it as possible.

Well unless your CEO smokes just as much as anyone else and realizes that smoking pot after you get off work doesn't mean jack **** in relation to your productivity. But yes you are right, if a business doesn't want to associate with them. It's a "FREE" country. Just make it work both ways.

Again, the choice is there to not smoke weed and there's always a right way to fight what you think is wrong. I honestly don't care either way if it's legal or not. I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone's life being ruined by simple possession first offense.

I smoked in my youth. Saw people who smoked before work, at lunch, and as soon as they got home. Saw people
smoke 10 joints in a five hour period. Saw people get high then play in basketball games. I never got into any of that.

Carl Sagan said he got some of his best ideas after smoking a joint.

Does the 2nd paragraph not basically say that they showed faster and more efficient access to other parts of the brain, including white matter referred to as a superhighway?

Or translate it for me if I'm missing something.

So they imply that those with lower IQ's probably were the ones smoking pot. Sounds like smoking pot makes stupid people smarter........

This study explains a lot about a poster or two on VN. You know who you are unless your brain has shrunk too much.

is giving $1 million to an alcoholic a good model? Because banks do that everyday without question. I wonder how much money is loaned to pill poppers on a daily basis.
Would be an interesting study.

Imagine the money that the Govt would make with that on taxes. It would knock a good chunk out of the deficit.

You disagree with the government about drug laws but trust them to spend money wisely. Lol ok. I guess whatever is left over from paying on the deficit can be used for more law enforcement, rehab clinics, & welfare/entitlement programs.

Who cares? They can loan to whoever they want based on the data they have.

Hopefully it would be used for the deficit but it probably wouldn't. We've lost the drug war and it's best to legalize and heavily regulate it.

Tried and true! We stop arresting people for smoking pot and somehow that turns into more people on welfare? Are you serious CC?

These pot threads always end well with a clear conclusion drawn by both sides of the argument.

Decriminalizing all drugs. Conservatives should stand by the principal that the government shouldn't hold our hands like children.

The Reagans were very heavily anti-drugs during their administration...so I can't see the current GOP moving in that direction.
