Regardless of the win

Ainge wasn't the problem, usc defense was tight, and sometimes you have force things, when nothing else is working

It wasn't a problem when receivers got some space and ainge was throwing it into the dirt, or way too far to the side? I'll give the SC defense credit, but he forced some passes that didn't need to be forced and missed some passes that should have been completions for him. But, the second half I blame on a poor offensive plan not Ainge. The only thing he did that really made me think he was  was the 4&2 pass. I am glad he is confident in himself, but come on lets get two yards and take a shot after we get a 1st down. On the other hand, that probably should have been a line it up and smash them in the mouth run play.

I know everyone is saying we didnt deserve the win..... but how many times in the past do you remember a Spurrier coached team beat us that didnt deserve the win! I know plenty but enjoy the fact we just shoved this back in his face! :)

Amen, Brother!

The attitude on this board today is mystifing to me. You just beat Steve Spurier on national TV. You are on a fast track to go to Atlanta for the SEC Title game and all this crying, unbeleivable!!! UT has problems sure, but to be unable to enjoy the biggest win of your season for even one day is STUPID. Some of you guys need to get a life. People on here trashing Fulmer for being overly happy about beating his biggest coaching rival and controling his destiny for an SEC Title shot, GET A GRIP. Go over to the FLA or UK boards and see what real misery is. Enjoy your season folks and quit worring about style points.

Ainge is not on the level of Ainge. Ever Notice the QBs that come to UT and the longer they are here the worst they get.

I know its an argument and sounds idiotic but Even Peyton had a drop off. I think it is in the coaching complex of the offense or just throwing short.

For those wanting to see the "drop off"

Manning's "drop off:"
1994 89-of-144 for 1141 yds and 11 TDs
1995 244-of-380 for 2954 yds and 22 TDs
1996 243-of-380 for 3287 yds and 20 TDs
1997 287-of-477 for 3819 and 36 TDs

Ainge's "drop off:"
2004 109-of-198 for 1452 yds and 17 TDs
2005 66-of-145 for 737 yds and 5 TDs
2006 233-of-348 for 2989 yds and 19 TDs
2007* 317-of-488 for 3271 yds and 23 TDs

*Projected FULL season stats

Here are Ainge's stats through 8 games:
195-of-300 for 2013 yds and 14 TDs

Actually it's 30.125 points per game.

The point being, our offensive numbers are up over the past two years,

2005- 18 points a game
2006- 28 points a game
2007- 31 points a game thru 8

All I'm saying is we made a change on offense (Cut for Sanders), and it's paid off, now we need to shake up the defense.

The only thing all say to this is I respectfully disagree.

sticking with the actual theme of this thread, the ONLY coach i would keep on the defensive side is brooks. he's done a pretty good job and a few guys have him to thank for their 'sunday' job. i think slade should have been gone 2 years ago. it has been time for a long time for some new blood on that side of the ball.

Every time I see somebody post this, I hear that music that they play on the Price is Right when somebody loses.:)

When you make no effort to run the ball it is hard to work the clock in the second half.

:eek:k:people are claiming we went conservative and sat on the lead. As bad as the offense was in the 2nd half, we'd have been much better off to get in the I formation and at least try to pound it. At least the clock would have kept moving.

We had 22 plays in the second half where we threw the ball or were sacked attempting to throw the ball and only 7 running plays.

By the way, is it karma that a Foster fumble set up the field goal to tie the game?
