Regardless of all the bickering lately, are we at least all in agreement that CP

CP and its not even close big time players come ready to play in big time games something that DR didn't do except against Vandy and we haven't seen Hunter display yet. He's even trying to mock CP when he catches the ball.

DR is a good player don't get wrong but he was here for 2 yrs and done nothing close to CP on a consistent basis.

All this talk about route is garage this is coming from the same coaching that does not no how to get him the ball hell try coaching you don't constantly bash a player for something that should be corrected on your behalf what do they know?

Da'rick is much better than CP as a receiver. People who don't see that are blind. CP is more explosive than Da'rick. People who don't see that are blind as well. That being said, if I have to choose one, I am going with Da'rick without a moments hesitation. I know I will get flamed for saying it but I don't really care.

You probably won't get flamed too hard, because apparently everybody but you and me are blind!

tl;dr: Patterson is a better athlete, Da'Rick is a better receiver.

Patterson's ability to make things happen with the ball in his hands is rare. Absolutely ridiculous in the open field. Unfortunately, against a good D like Bama there just aren't very many ways to get him in the open field. To get the most out of his ability, he really needs to work on his ability to get open as a receiver. There are only so many gadget plays and screen passes you can run before good defenses start getting the hint and taking that stuff away. I'd like to see him come back next season with a better understanding of the playbook and how to run routes. He could be really special, and he's the kind of player that can win us games we have no business winning (there just aren't many of these on the roster right now).

Da'Rick is a much better receiver at this point. He carried our offense on his back last season. Of our would-have-been Big Three, Da'Rick was the only one who could consistently get himself open. I think we'd be singing a different tune about Bray if we had Da'Rick right now, because he wouldn't have to force so many of these passes to receivers who aren't even open. He's not as wiggly or as fast in the open field, but he's still pretty good with the ball in his hands because he's a strong SOB and difficult to get on the ground.

If CP learns how to get himself open, then I think he has the higher upside. Right now, I'd take Da'Rick. Unfortunately, DR is a headcase so it doesn't matter anyway.

This is crazy do a ratio count the number of times he was not open versus the times he was open and still we couldn't get him the ball there is a bigger problem here ladies and gentleman.

Which one has 67 catches and 1000 yards receiving in the SEC in one season?

Makes no sense factor in we are going with a more balanced attack now we couldn't run we had to throw.
LSU recievers will always be second with first team potential as much as they RUN the ball please..

Da'Rick until CP learns how to run routes and becomes a reliable receiver instead of just a disgustingly gifted, incredible athlete.

CP is our pure electric athlete...

DR is the hole in our passing offense that used to attack the middle of the field.

No, CP is not better than Rogers. Rogers is a real receiver--didn't he lead the SEC in catches last season? CP is raw--more of a runner, still finding his way as a receiver. Losing Rogers was a major blow to this team--although given Bray's problems who knows how much he would have helped.

Man I really thought this would be a bicker-free thread.

I would rather have CP any day. He's a game changer IMO. Da'Rick was a great receiver, but he wasn't a momentum swinger like CP

CP relies on physical abilities and is not a great route runner. Right now, he looks like Justin Hunter during his freshman year. Both DR and JH run better routes right now, which is what matters at the next level. CP's speed is just average on Sundays.

lol he just said CP's speed is average on Sundays. Are you kidding me?

So lets run this TE we have out in the middle of the field to sure things up.

I've seen numerous recievers open in the middle of the field, QB was locked in else where go back check the film

Once again CP is not the problem here!

is > Da'Rick Rogers?

It would have been nice to have both along with Hunter, but if the football gods came to us and said "We are willing to give you back DR but it would cost you CP" are we all in agreement that we would decline?

I would keep CP any day over Da'Rop, who is a joke of a player and a human being. CP is also better than Hunter (aka Kelly "The Future" Washington II). CP reminds me a little of Julio Jones - occasional stone hands but when he catches it - whoooeeeeee- look out!

I just posted in another thread and not ashamed to post it here too: I was dead wrong about CP. I was pretty confident juco WRs rarely make difference in the sec and Patt was no different. I was proven to be an idiot on the first TD of the sason.

You've been proven to be an idiot alot.
