Excellent article. Jalen is just great, thats all there is to it. A bene that he's from Tennessee. He'll
have a big year this fall. I was baffled when he was moved to LB, but thats the new program
... fast quick playmakers, and he fits that mold.

I think Jalen Reeves-Maybin can be an All-American. I was really enthusiastic about him from the time the Vols started recruiting him.

I think it would be cool to hear his opinion of the change in position now and if he would prefer to stay at linebacker or play safety again.

Who's being naive, replacing the Vol's leading tackler, AJ Johnson, may be more difficult than expected, no doubt.

I agree he's awesome right where he is. I just never really thought about it until part of the article mentioned he wasn't exactly happy to move. Was just a random thought.lol

Not trying to be an argumentative pest, but with JRM a first-year starter last year as a sophomore and having over 100 tackles ... it might be less difficult than expected, that he would replace AJ as the bell-cow of our linebacking corps.

JRM is going to be in total BEAST mode this season.

Replacing him may not be easy but you can bet that buTch is already working on that.

JRM is also a total team VFL and he's helping everyone he can to get better.

You can't help but love kids like him.

I had the chance to meet JRM this spring and can tell you he is an incredible young man. He took time out of his schedule during spring break, while he was home, to talk to a group of 9 & 10 year old boys about hard work and attitude. It has been the highlight of our year. I wish him the best. He has represented himself, his family and the city of Clarksville very well. Now, "knock his head off, Rock".

Awesome that he wrote a letter to Kirkland offering up his number if Kirkland came here! That's a VFL, team player.

You nailed it. Players like Reeves-Maybin is what TN has been missing over the last few years. Its awesome to see our instate players doing good in the Orange. The future sure does look very bright for recruiting inside our state. Butch and his staff are doing a awesome job at putting up borders around Tennessee.
