That's a good question. If I remember there is a limit to the number of minutes you can play and you can't have played past a certain date in the season. I'll see if I can find the exact requirements.

Not sure of the rules either but I think a player can redshirt even if too many minutes have been played if there is an injury, ie medical redshirt.

thanks 4 postin this. I have no idea what the deal is, but does anybody know about duke? Can we still give him a red shirt if he cant play the rest of the season?

I'm not sure of the rules, but I saw a player in a black warmup at the game Saturday. He was sitting on the bench with the team and would get in to the huddles with them. I thought it looked like Cam, but wasn't positive. Can anyone confirm? If so I would think that's a decent indicator that he's redshirting, b/c I've not heard of any injuries he's had.

I don't think that there is any question that the plan right now is to redshirt Tatum.

Yeah it was him and he is redshirting.
