Red Dead Redemption...

i'd say it's worth a buy if you've got extra coin to spend, but you're probably not going to get the best experience out of it online unless you have some friends to roam around with. it's still pretty fun to go and explore "lone wolf" style, but i think there's alot more to offer when you have a group to ride with. i only gave it a rental, but i'm a few hours in so far and have been pretty impressed. there's alot to do in the campaign and what little i've played with the multiplayer has been fun as well. if you're still skeptical do some research. i think it's gotten a 9.5 rating on gamespot currently.

correct

we'll see. i'm not guaranteeing anything but i've got a few games to trade in. at the very least i've been thinking about re-renting it since i enjoyed the multiplayer.

plus with ncaa coming out next month i'm putting some cash back for that.

It's decent with people you know, just for some fun, but nothing I'd buy for the sake of multiplayer alone.

I thought so too.

But then again, I didn't like the 1st ending either.

But I did like the intense title screen after the "conclusion".

did anyone come close to taking them all out? I got about 8 of them...

There's just too many. After about 8 or so you just die. I had them all queued up with dead eye, and it only let me get through half of them.

Also, I made sure to first target the marshals that had originally held your family and I definitely shot them both in the head, and they fell, but in the cut scene, they were still alive and well.

^i had always wondered about that. it would have been kinda cool (altough pretty unrealistic) if there was somehow a way to kill off everyone in that final scene while you somehow make it off alive and magically ride off into the sunset.

I jumped on a Marshall's horse and before i could get down i had been hit 3 times. i mean it wasn't like i rode the horse :).

Wow, very.

I was on two days ago, just picking plants for the survivalist achievements in free roam, and some douche bag Mexican on a donkey comes up and stares at me. I wait a few seconds, and when he doesn't speak or draw his gun, I go back to picking plants.

Of course, he shoots me when I turn my back to him. I respond by killing relentlessly over and over for the next 30 minutes. Then a friend of his gets on, and tries to help. He sucks even more than the firs guy. I just spend a good 15 minutes killing them both as soon as they spawn, to the point that they had stopped firing at me and just started trying to run away. Sometimes I would let them climb on their mount, and then shoot it out from under them before finishing them off just to toy with them. They eventually logged off.

Stupid newbs didn't know who they were messing with.

Hahahahahaha. This story reminds me of when I was playing and my cousin was in my posse with me and we were just minding our own business and this douche comes out of nowhere and just starts jumping up and down, looking like a moron. We ignore him and he eventually pulls out a shotgun and shoots us both in the back. We then begin killing him mercilessly and camping his spawn point with a shotgun (me) and high-powered pistol (him) and killing him the moment he would appear.

Good times..... :good!:

BTW, duckman "rented" this game again last night. LAME!

as i recall in the conversation, i said i would rent it again if you would be on later to play, which you said you would be. just wanted to add that little detail in there.

btw this game is a definite buy. not sure if you had heard or not.

Do you need to get all the achievements to attain 100% of the game? The only things I know I'm missing in-game are the Treasure Hunter Outfit, Reyes' Rebels Outfit, Us Marshal Outfit and Bureau Uniform.

For the T.H.O. is there a way to go back and try to claim a bounty alive?
I completely suck at Five Finger Fillet so I don't know if I'll ever win the R.R.O.
Haven't tried completing all U.S. gang hideouts in 24hr period for the Marshal Outfit.
The Bureau Outfit comes with 100% completion.
