Recruits talking about Vols, Mountaineers

reading through all the other blurbs though is a bit depressing as none of the recruits mentioned have Tennessee in consideration...yet.

I'm telling you, I think many recruits are still taking a "wait and see" approach when it comes Tennessee. I think they will watch and see how our season transpires under the new regime. If Kiffin and co produce a lot of success, recruits will line up. If it turns out to be like last season, the coaches may have an uphill battle on their hands.

That blurb had absolutely no info in it. All it should have said was, "Eddie Gran is still recruiting South Florida for Tennessee; Doc Holliday, too, but for West Virginia.

what about the kids that just came in who have never even seen this crew coach a practice? I dont think your arguement holds much water. These kids could care less what a team's record was last year. Notre Dame still gets the names, as does Florida State and Miami. Its overall perception and how many guys say a school's name during MNF intros.

i think tennessee will get alot more recruits looking at tennessee on the defensive side early because of how much better they are than our offense and because of the coaches the recruits that play offense will probably want to wait till the season starts to see the style and how things all come together that being said if we still have a bad offense it might be easier to get recruits to come to us using the you can play as a freshman technique

Because Kiffin and co brought a lot of hype with them when they came to UT. They've brought in a lot of top prospects on the promise of what they are GOING to do. However if this staff doesn't show real results on the field, alot of that hype will fade and the idea of playing for Kiffin and co will lose it's luster.
