Definitely pleased with his results so far from a "star" perspective. Article makes a good point. Butch had a great in-state class to start with. Hurd, Wharton, TK Jr, Berry Bros were legacies, he had a good in-state/legacy base. Pruitt however, has something that Butch did not have. Pruitt has an established reputation at established programs. Butch followed Brian Kelly's footsteps and simply used Kelly's recruits and his garbage scheme to win at Cincinnati. But, no big recruits are ever listening to Cincinnati. Butch wasn't getting in homes with these guys before he came to UT. I remember the day in December we hired him, we were all Googling him. Pruitt may not have been a HC before now, but Pruitt has been in the homes of and coached more 4*-5* than Butch ever has. To be a bona fide DC at FSU, UGA and Alabama and have tangible results....that's something that Butch could never sell. People know this guy is gonna win.

Difference is Jones was a good salesman who couldn't Coach his way out of a wet paper bag!

Pruitt is a proven coach who is also, apparently, a Good Recruiter!!! CORNBREAD BABY!!!

I'm really hoping Pruitt is gonna turn this around. I don't think I can handle another let down in a coach after getting my hopes up.
