Who is Pearl recruiting in Memphis?

Anyone else notice that Zagoria ripped TN in his column about Tobias Harris and failed to mention our ranking or our winning streak? He can try to keep all the NY area talent in the Big East, but Bruce Pearl is not going to let it happen.

a Govols article had him in Memphis recruiting on Monday.

2011? Adonis Thomas? Chris Jones? Cedric McAfee? Andre Hollins? Octavious Ellis?

By the way, even if Pastner gets his pick, there is no way he can lock up all that studly talent.

Get Tobias's brother Tyler in that class, Kevin Ware and another stud or 2 and Pearl will be at an all new level!

Ha thanks guys for all the good info! I was just guessing and reading Rivals profiles for 2011 guys after I posed the question.

After Maymon's transfer we are finished with recruiting for next year. Bone and McBee will get the remaining scholarships. Memphis has great talent for the 2011 recruiting class. Hopefully, we will finally have a break-through there.

That is a nice group. In 2011 TN loses who? So far guys like Hopson we thought would be one and done have not been. Memphis has historically had one and done guys, but I am not sure anyone besides Barton is good enough from the 2010 class. That will leave some depth Pastner will be recruiting against.

TN 2010 is:
Freshmen
Trae Golden SG 6-1 190 - Powder Springs, GA
Tobias Harris PF 6-8 220 - Glen Head, NY
Jordan McRae SG 6-6 180
They probably get 3, 4 and 5 unless they request different #'s
0 Renaldo Woolridge G/F 6-8 208 Jr.-2L Sherman Oaks, Calif. (Harvard-Westlake HS)
10 Michael Hubert G 6-2 203 Sr.-Sq. Hendersonville, Tenn. (UT Chattanooga)
13 Skylar McBee G 6-3 190 Sophomore.-1L Rutledge, Tenn. (Rutledge HS)
20 Kenny Hall F 6-8 220 Sophomore.-1L Stone Mountain, Ga. (Redan HS)
21 Melvin Goins G 5-11 195 Sr.-Tr. 1L San Diego, Calif. (Mt. San Jacinto [Calif.] College)
22 Steven Pearl F 6-5 232 Sr.-2L Knoxville, Tenn. (West HS)
23 Cameron Tatum G 6-6 197 Jr.-2L Lithonia, Ga. (The Patterson School)
24 Josh Bone G 6-3 195 Jr.-Tr. 1L Nashville, Tenn. (Southern Illinois University)
30 Jeronne Maymon F 6-7 230 Sophomore Tr. Madison, Wisconsin (Marquette University)
32 Scotty Hopson G 6-7 200 Jr.-2L Hopkinsville, Ky. (University Heights HS)
33 Brian Williams C 6-10 270 Sr.-3L Bronx, N.Y. (Harmony Community Prep)

We will be replacing at least Goins and Williams, but maybe Hopson as well depending and maybe T Harris as well depending.

5 Emmanuel Negedu F 6-7 218 Sr.-1L Kaduna, Nigeria (Brewster [N.H.] Academy)

I have not heard the status of Negedu but I am assuming his number will be returned.

How would we be replacing Harris before he plays a season?

I dont think Bone will get a scholarship unless i am missing something...

I don't think both Goins and Bone will get a scholly but one of them will.

We might be replacing tobias harris after he plays one season. Which is what I said, talking about the 2011 class

I went on rivals recruiting page for Chris Jones, while he's very high on Tennessee everybody else he has low interest.

The best way to raid memphis, is to keep doin wat we doin.....WINNING. They will come when they see UT in a final 4 and such, but it aint bad to own ATL either! Pastner is going to have his work cut out for him, I only see C-USA getting one bid and that is the conf tourney winner. Marshall, UAB, UTEP, Houston, and Tulsa can all win that tourney imo. But UM will have big expectations next season with that crazy class they bringin in, but UT will be able to go toe to toe and having them in KVille dont hurt either. UT holds the head to head record and I dont think it will change anytime soon.

Yeah I saw Memphis class and it looks very good, but we also have a very good class of our own. If I recall correctly I think and I'm not exactly sure, but overall head to head UT holds a 13-8 advantage over UM. But I'm not exactly sure.

I saw Melrose play at Arby's and Chris Jones is a player. All I had heard before the tournament was about Thomas and he did play well however Jones is a difference maker. He is a point guard that will not back down. It would be great to get both of these young men to become Vols.
