Has still gotta pick up. The Kentucky game was JG. If he would’ve started off the game well I believe we would’ve won. The team didn’t seem to give a crap after the first few possessions that he screwed up. That being said, I did watch all of UGA and highlights only of Bama. I wasn’t waisting my time watching the full game... We have got to get more talent on the team. We still do have not enough to compete with the elite teams in SEC. Thompson and taylor still aren’t getting it done at CB. And the d line is not good..... Need to bring in better players... Hate to say it, but we need another really really good class this year and continue the rebuild.... :(

Ole Miss put 48 points on the board vs Bama. I do not want to hear anymore excuses about talent. If people believe Ole Miss has more talent than UT they need psychiatric help.

You will be blasted by some on here for even implying we don't have talent to be competitive.
The Vols are their team. and because they are great their team is of coarse great, has to be because they are great. Perhaps there is more entertainment value when we lose watching the loonies.

A handful of programs get the elite of the elite talent.
Everyone else fights for scraps.
Unfortunately we play two of those programs every year. And several others that are as good or better at picking up the scraps.
Benching a quarterback or firing a coach every few years will not produce the order of magnitude leap that is required for a rise to the top. A painfully slow grind is the only way.

Unfortunately there is no patience for that with fanatics. They are great and because they are great they know better.

A painfully slow grind may be the only way if you have fully competent coaches.

Have you met our freshman and sophomores? By far the best players on the team in Pruitt’s first two full classes. 2017 was a rushed class and late hire. Like someone else said, this has always been a 5 year rebuild. 8-4 in year two isn’t too shabby, this year is yet to be determined.

The team that scores the most points wins every single time. If you are a coach you should know that. And it was the Lane Train that shot it's only wad of the year in the LOSS.

As it’s been mentioned before, we get excited that we have a class that includes 2 to 4 of the top 100 players while Bama and Georgia sign 10 each year...we signed 11 players that made the top 100 over the last 4 years while Bama signed 40 and Georgia signed 39...We aren’t one of the destination schools and that doesn’t change overnight...and every time we have one of those no show games (Kentucky, Georgia State, etc) it makes it harder to change the perception...we need some solid seasons where we beat who we‘re supposed to beat and play the elite teams to the wire before kids will look at UT as a destination school again...

I understand we should have as much talent as an ole miss but what I saw was that we are still lacking studs and possibly some development.... but Bama and UGA have Too’oo at every positions... no offense but flowers and George jr ain’t getting it done. They are low level sec talent at best... you could almost throw Ty Chandler in there as well... he would be buried on the depth chart at a lot of SEC schools. Need to bring in better talent.

How many of our starters do you think could make the two deep at Bama or Georgia?
Not many... need more and more that way if some flop it’s ok... we have a lot that have flopped and no talent behind them to step in and take their damn spot... need to see more
Out of Crouch too. He has been underwhelming.

He has a new coach as well...Maybe Crouch is better suited on the outside...???
