How are we doing on the recruiting trail? Does anybody know if Butch has a target area to get studs from? Just trying to get caught up.

If you have not kept up with recruiting at all, I will sum it up for you. Butch can recruit! At the moment we have a top 5 class (possibly #2). Basically, the recruits we have coming in are all excited to be the class that's going to turn the Tide! Vic Wharton is one of our best re-cruiters. Go Vols! Better days ahead!

If you haven't kept up with recruiting so far and wanna get a lot of good info without searching a lot I'd recommend the Weekly Recruiting Update threads. Lots of good info in there about how we're doing with a lot of different recruits. It's a great analysis of everything from that week in recruiting. Hope this helps some!

Here's a summary as of today. We are rated with the no. 2 class in the country on both Scout and Rivals, and the no. 3 class on 247 combined ratings. My guess is we'll end up any where between 4th and 7th after signing day on Feb. 5th. We already have 33 commits, but are looking to add another RB, DT, and/or the best available in WR or DB at the position. A lot can happen though between now and Feb. 5th.

We are doing pretty good. We need another DT and a RB and we are good to go.

I was just looking at a list of 2014 in-state recruits & we have #1-4 committed & 6 of the Top 10. Don't think Butch could have done any better in state. 2015 is starting good too.

Tennessee has 7 of the top 10 players in Tennessee committed.

Great news so far recruiting. We lost a few but there is a plethora of talented kids headed to Knoxville. I would say we are a couple years away from owning the East and even par with the rest of the dominant teams in college football. We are on the minds of most kids and the future looks better than it has in awhile talent wise. The next step will be developing present and future talent. I can see brighter days ahead. Now if we can snag Scott and Adoree???? It's going to be really fun.
