Recruiting shortfalls

Why do we consistently have lesser talent at CB, OT,LB, and WR than most other SEC schools. The Gators have 6=7 defensive backs that are better than our best. OT has been a problem since Botch took over-even last year Josh was running for his life on every pass play. The WR ,with a couple of exceptions either cant get open or catch catch or both. The starting middle LB is a walk-on in Jones 5th year. WTF?

Recruiting is like hiring coaches: it can be a hit or miss. Seems like most top programs are recruiting a couple of years ahead. Then filling in with junior college recruits if immediate help is needed.

Hey guys, remember less than a year ago, right after hurd quit and kamara declared.

Back then we were worried about depth at one position only.

Running back.

LOL people were worried to death than Kelly was just a 3 star, too small to carry the load of an SEC season, we bemoaned the loss of joe young to career ending injury and how it killed our depth.

Fils aime was written off after his usc fumble, and called slow, soft, just not SEC material.

Even after signing day some stayed worried.

So now obviously its our deepest and most talented position.

Good position coaches and player development is EVERYTHING.

Jones is infatuated with * ratings. At his previous jobs, he had to find quality 2 or 3 * recruits. In the SEC, 4 and 5 *'s are available. He has gone after them to show high recruiting rankings with no regard to position or roster needs.
