I took team ratings from ESPN, Rivals, Scout, and 247. I sorted on mean and median rankings. Tennessee is 5th both ways.

1. Bama
2. Texas
3. Florida St
4. Texas A&M
5. Tennessee
6. Michigan
7. Miami
8. Ohio State
8. Notre Dame
10. Clemson
10. Kentucky

That's really good considering Texas has 3 more commits than we do. And how many can we take this year?

I believe the concensus is somewhere between 0 and all of them. j/k

It is somewhere between 28 and 30 depending on who you talk to. I think most believe it is 29 but some are higher or lower.

meaningless

I looked at rivals rankings from previous years to get a feel where UT would end up for 2014. It looks to me that the final ranking now depends on how many 5 star players UT ends up with.
My guess just looking at the last few years of rankings.

Number of 5-star players -> My guess

0: Top 10 class
1-2: Top 5 class
3-4; Anywhere from 1-3

Hey I'd be okay just filling some voids with very good players. Even if we lose the #1 spot, a top 5 or so class would be awesome. We might actually out recruit a rival or two..
