Fulmer use to recruit flashy skill positions mostly in one year, thus a higher ranking, and recruit a bunch of the o-line and d-line the next year, thus getting a lower ranking. he would sprinkle a few stud skill positions in there ever so often, but the first sentence was the norm. One year top 5, the next in the low teens or just in top ten as I recall.

SEC Teams in top 10 on Rivals

2010: 5
2011: 4
2012: 3
2013: 5
2014: 7
2015: 6 (as of now)

Tennessee only in there 2010 and 2014. I know this is beating a dead horse, but since we are projected to be there again next year it bodes well for our future but it also shows that the SEC will be a gauntlet.

This is the most telling stat. Not only do we have to get better, but everyone else is getting better also.
