Below I linked a good recent article on the state of things recruiting wise in the SEC for 2023. With the early signing period in December and NIL and other changes, the calendar seems to keep moving up. This year, more teams seem to have a lot of commitments in July than I remember in years past.
I link the whole article below and I'm not sure if it's behind a pay wall, but if it is, here's the summary as to the Vols:

Here is the current order of teams' recruiting rankings in conference, familiar names at the top, but we are much higher than in recent years within the conference. We had become a mainstay in the 6-7-8 out of 14 slot within the conference in recent years. Blue chip ratio is the percentage of commits who are 4 or 5 star recruits on the composite.
1. Georgia (No. 3 nationally), 18 commits, blue chip ratio 83.3%
2. Alabama (No. 4 nationally), 16 commits, blue chip ratio 81.2%
3. LSU (No. 10 nationally), 17 commits, blue chip ratio 70.5%
4. Tennessee (No. 11 nationally), 19 commits, blue chip ratio 42.1%
5. Arkansas (No. 12 nationally), 23 commits, blue chip ratio 30.4%
6. Florida (No. 14 nationally), 14 commits, blue chip ratio 85.7%
7. South Carolina (No. 34 nationally), 13 commits, blue chip ratio 38.4%
8. Kentucky (No. 44 nationally), 13 commits, blue chip ratio 15.3%
9. Vanderbilt (No. 50 nationally), 12 commits, blue chip ratio 8.3%
10. Miss State (No. 55 nationally), 10 commits, blue chip ratio 0%
11. Texas A&M (No. 60 nationally), 6 commits, blue chip ratio 83.3%
12. Missouri (No. 61 nationally), 8 commits, blue chip ratio 42.8%
13. Auburn (No. 67 nationally), 5 commits, blue chip ratio 100%
14. Ole Miss (No. 68 nationally), 5 commits, blue chip ratio 60%
