Does anyone find that it is way to easy to recruit on NCAA 07? Every year I have the number 1 recruiting class with about 8-10 5 Star players and then the rest are four star players. I wish they would make it a little more realistic. Make it a little harder to recruit. I usually have 9-10 players commited before the season is even over.

Don't know how you do it. I understand getting the #1 class, but how so many 5 stars.

I have gotten 8 once, and just enought to lock up the gamerscore.

It is ridiculously easy for me. I have my % points set at 50% for recruiting, 30% for training, and 20% for discipline. I haven't ever had a problem recruiting, not only on this years game, but on any of the previous years games.

1. You're at a big-time program to begin with, which means big-time recruits come relatively easy. I think there's only 20 schools in the game that start off with the 6-star program level?

2. I also find recruiting to be ridiculously easy (from the get-go with a big-time school, and after a couple years with a smaller school). It thusly becomes very boring for me, so I don't even bother with it. I just play the games. Gives me more of a challenge if I don't have the top recruits every year. Makes it more realistic.

Yea 07 is too easy, 06 was a little harder, but I still have never not gotten the number 1 class...getting 10-12 5 stars and the rest 4 is nothing to me.

I'll let the computer recruit as well if I find myself playing more than a season or two.

Problem for me is I lose some interest when I lose current Vols off the roster.

You do have to spend recruiting points to retain players that may want to leave early for the draft, but still, you can keep them around and then skip the whole recruiting process.

if you want recruiting to be a bit more challenging, you can turn the "recruiting assistance" option off in settings. at least i think that it where it is

Recruiting assistance is off. I don't ever play with it on. I wish it didn't have the "Discipline" feature on the game. It is stupid when you have to suspend a player for two or three games because he was late to a class. Then your "NCAA Interest" goes up and then you lose schollys becasue you had a few players that were late to a class.

All the cpu assistance does is take care of it automatically, as long as you don't open the recruiting window. Just simulates.

hmm... Doesn't more program discipline add to your school's academic rating? Which in turn leads to fewer disciplinary problems? I think the whole notion of limited disciplinary points is stupid. There needs to be a better method for that stuff in place.

I think they need to take it out. They are trying to make the game too "realistic". On Madden you can't play a season for all of the other crap on there. They need to keep the games somewhat simple.

I think the whole thing is pretty cool, actually... Adds realism, if you're trying to manage your dynasty.

It just pisses me off when a key player is late to a class and I have to suspend him 2-3 games so my NCAA level doesn't go up. They need to make the reason for suspending them more realistic and make the "NCAA Interest Level" more realistic.

Who cares? Just plug in your backup and move on with the season. It's not like your roster isn't full of nothing but 4 and 5 star guys anyway. Recruiting has always been WAY, WAY too easy on these games. That's my biggest complaint about this game. How realistic is it to be able to successfully recruit 20 5 star players and fill in the remaining 4 scholarships that you have to offer with 4 star guys? That's ridiculous!

I haven't purchased 07 yet, so I'm not sure if it's changed from 06 to 07, but on 06 I've sometimes had half of my starting lineup dead set on leaving for the NFL after their sophomore and junior seasons. I could spend 100% of my recruiting points and not convince all of them to stay. I usually just go after a few key guys that are straddling the fence on whether to go pro or not and try to get them to stay. Then I wish the other guys well in the NFL and move on to recruiting. It's so easy to recruit a team full of 5 star players there's really no reason to sweat guys leaving early.

In 06 I current have a senior QB that is getting ready to end his career with approximately 20,400 passing yards and well over 300 touchdowns in only 3 seasons as the starter. I wish I could keep him for another season, but honestly the next starter will probably be just as good.

How many seasons can you go through in a dynasty?

Back on the 05 versions of NCAAF and Madden, I just simulated a dynasty on NCAA and franchise on Madden where I imported all the players and whatnot. Never played a game, just managed both teams and all that. I think I made it to about year 2030 before I got bored and just quit, so I'm not sure how far you can go.

I got 10 5 star recruits and the rest 4 star recruits after my first season with Eastern Kentucky University.

Well that must have been a game glitch.

Seriously, how the **** did you manage that?

Unless by Eastern, you mean Southern, and by Kentucky, you mean California.

I hit the pipeline recruits very hard...................

No different from how I recruit with Tennessee.

What helps with Eastern Kentucky is having Ohio in the pipeline..............
