I read an article a few days ago that Isaiah has backed off UT quite a bit now. I really don't remember the source but I'm pretty sure it was from Bleacher Report. I read a lot of stuff on that website so it was a good bet.

I also forgot to bookmark the darn page in which I forget to do all the time on articles I want to keep for future reference.

That's completely false.

Here's an article with him from just yesterday, nothing at all about Isaiah "backing off Tennessee"...

Body transformation helps turn Team Penny’s Isaiah Stokes into top-70 national prospect

those assuming Tennessee is the leader for his services since it was the school his brother attended, Isaiah, who has several SEC basketball offers as well as ones from Memphis and Iowa State, said Saturday he doesn't have a leader. "No favoritism," he said.

"(Tennessee is) a whole 'nother school, a whole 'nother coaching staff, you know?" he said. "I mean, people will assume that. Don't get me wrong — Tennessee is a great school. But just because my brother went there doesn't mean that I'll go there."

I was just relaying what I read from the article. It might be completely false. I sure as heck didn't make it up. I don't do things like that like some people on here.

It should be real easy to find the link if you're not making it up, Google bleacher report and Isaiah stokes, that simple.

I said I thought it was from Bleacher Report. I didn't confirm that it was though. I read a lot of stuff over the net. You trying to make me out to be a liar? Believe or think what you want.

I'm tired of people attacking me on here just for saying something. I didn't say that article was 100% for sure from Bleacher Report. Good grief!

Ok then good "Isaiah Stokes backing off Tennessee", should still be pretty dang easy to find if it indeed happened, it didn't though so I'd say you'll struggle to find it.

It's pretty petty, and immature/ just down right arrogant, but it happens a here.

I never said he was going to Tennessee or was following his brothers footsteps, all I said was there was no article saying that "Stokes is backing off on Tennessee", and clearly there is not. Maybe you read an article about another recruit and Tennessee and said recruit backing off, but it wasn't Stokes is all I'm saying.

Commercial Appeal
PS With Tubby at Memphis, smart money says he plays for the blue.

I assume you are talking about the recruit Chase Johnson and not Jalen Johnson.
He is not ranked by Rivals, but has impressive offer list. I am not sure if all offers are committable.

This is the basketball recruiting forum so I assume he's talking about Jalen Johnson & not Chase Johnson. I thought he meant the current roster player in Jalen Johnson anyhow but he could be asking about Chase who is in the 2017 class. He needs to let us know. Thanks! :dunno:

Jalen is a signee. Chase is a recruit.

I think Chase is borderline SEC talent. He does have quite a few offers including one from UT.

Yeah. He appears to have picked up quite a few offers in the last couple of months.

According to Rivals and 247 he has high major offers from: Florida, Arizona, Kansas State, Marquette, TCU, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Penn, State, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, and obviously Tennessee.

His stock has certainly risen.

@BTO or somebody else:

Could you please post an updated recruit list for me/us in the 2017 & 2018 classes? I know somebody posted one quite a few pages back but I was hoping for an updated one since this thread doesn't work like the Lady Vols recruiting thread that has updates from the 1st post. Thanks!
