I live in the Charolett Area. There is alot of talent in this area .Is there someone who works this area. Gastonia NC has alot of high schools also with great talent.

Nah!!!! The coaching staff is completely unaware of anything coming out of the Charolett area. They are stupid and don't do their homework. It is wonderful that someone can bring this to their attention. Thank you.:crazy:

UF, UGA and Clemson pretty much have that area on lockdown right now. FSU does pretty well too. We haven't done well in Charlotte since the 90's. CJ Leak's performance at lack of playing time at UT may have looked bad because he was a major recruit. We also had another bigtime DT/DE from Charlotte that didn't pan out.

Dooley and Joseph have more recruiting ties in Texas, Georgia, Louisiana and Virginia. We don't have a coach with a lot of ties in NC. The aforementioned states will compensate for NC. Also, I don't really think we have a coach with ties in SC as well, so I don't expect to get a lot of South Carolina recruits. On the other hand, Lance Thompson recruits the MS, GA, Bama areas well, so we will be looking at different areas than in the past.

I think recruits from NC are interested in Tennessee but they have more exposure to UGA, UF, Clemson and FSU because those schools have ties to the Charlotte areas due to past recruits. For example, Charlotte Independence has sent a lot of kids to UGA (Joe Cox, Massoqui off the top of my head(sic)). Independence also sent Chris Leak to UF.

just an obvious question, UT hasn't pulled alot of talent from there. name one please? or maybe don't skip your meds before posting

Heath Shuler from Bryson City NC, Carl Pickens from Murphy NC, Leonard Little from Asheville NC, Johnothan Crompton from Waynesville NC, another lineman back in the mid 90's from Arden NC, all western NC people. I'm not sure about others from other parts of the state. I know these guys are long gone, but some recruiting takes place in NC obviously. My neighbor was recruited by Kiffen before he left. He is now the backup QB at NC State.

Carl Pickens, Heath Shuler... that RB from Franklin, NC that escapes me right now...

I grew up in charlotte my whole life and went to Butler high school. There definitely is a lot of talent in charlotte. Daryl Vereen went to north meck and alot of Butler alums have gone D1. Independence put out a bunch of D1 athletes but have gone a little downhill after their head coach left
