Recruiting in GA (split from recruit threads)

You're not the bad guy...

You state your opinion in a logical way and concede that although you have more overall talent the gap isn't large enough to ensure a UGA victory beyond a shadow of a doubt...

Butthead...I mean Headbutt...and Dawgfan on the other hand bring the stereotypical opposing fan troll bias with every post and therefore are treated accordingly

What I didn't understand is how he could say we wouldn't win with Dooley at the helm while UGA is sitting pretty with Richt...

At least Dooley is unproven. Richt has a track record of ineptitude.

I explained in detail why crowell will not be ready to make the difference and you guys will lose in Knoxville. You have a new offensive line that cannot protect murray and your offense as we saw last year will have serious struggles.

New fullback as well.

Smaller secondary cannot cover darick and justin hunter.

Unfortunately alabama and lsu and arkansas are better than georgia and we have to play them.

Rhetoric won't make a lick of difference in this match up. We'll just have to wait til the game.

I took that as him saying what the general opinion of UGA fans is about Dooley...not necessarily a shot at us...

It is unreasonable to think that at this point considering how little info they have to go on...but I can understand it...I would think that if the situation were reversed

let me jump in on this, i'm all about some UGA & we had a nice recruiting class (Dream Team) but the reality is, UGA & UT had identical records after 13 games last year. UT has ?'s, UGA has ?'s. I think we can win up here next year, but i'm not banking on it, especially given our recent history in neyland.

Wow..awesome post. Im starting to like this guy more and more.:victory:

I actually really like Dooley. I think maybe he got thrown into the SEC fire a year or two before he was really ready, but he will be fine in the long run.

Personally, he was on the short list of guys I would have picked to succeed Richt in around 2015 or so when I was expecting CMR might be looking at retirement. This was a couple years ago before he took the UT job.

I just don't think UT is where they need to be personnel and experience wise. They have some talent, but far too little, and too little depth in key areas like DL.

But our last two games against UGA in Neyland have been pretty awesome.

Well that's reasonable...can you and I stick to this kind of exchange from now on? I prefer it...

You are correct that we lack depth at key places...Dooley has referred to last year as "year zero" and this year as "year one" of rebuiliding because the roster he inherited last year was so decimated by the coaching changes...

My belief...although inevitably biased...is that we are going to be much more talented and deep than last year...but we obviously have gaping holes to fill (in particular on the defensive front 7) and therefore I don't expect us to compete for any championships this year

Do I think we have the talent and depth to compete with UGA...absolutely...I did not think that last year and was not at all surprised by the outcome of that game (especially coming off the disaster at LSU)

Your team will have more overall talent and depth...but the gap between our two teams isn't enough to be certain of a blowout

I don't think I have predicted a blowout, just a win. If so, I was probably being tongue-in-cheek...or drunk, lol. Anyway, whether it is by 35 or by 3, I think UGA is going to post the W in Knoxville this year. :hi:

These trolls are in need to be.....

LOL, is that a shake-weight? I think it is great that Aaron is comfortable enough to be such a clown and not give a crap what papers, other fans, and people on message boards think. Shows he isn't weak-minded, like some guys can be.

For something we can all enjoy, watch at this throw by Aaron to this Bama student on Spring Break:

Yes, that guy really is a Bama fratter and no Aaron did not miss. :)

Shows me he's very comfortable in that pose...kinda like the comfort Elton John feels while playing the piano.

Don't be foolish.

Mega foolish. Not to mention, who ever EXPECTS to lose? A novel concept to us in Knoxville. Our friends in Athens should explain how that works sometime.
