Since the buyout is fixed for the season, it likely would be revenue-positive to go ahead and relieve him. Fans probably would perceive that as positive change and it could increase attendance at the remaining games.

Sure seems it would. This is getting too painful for everybody involved. Butch is in full beat down mode and the fan base is over it all. A interim change might give both the fan base and roster as shot in the arm. Just don't see anything of value accomplished by keeping him.

Sad as it is to say, we have to focus on beating UK now, and they need to do what it takes to put the team in a better position to do that. Losing in Lexington would tee up a losing season. Butch is done here. Continuing to roast the corpse benefits no one.

No telling what happens but I figure they cut him loose after Bama. Probably don't want an interim going up there for that slaughter. Then you give interim a chance to win out.

CBJ has Bama just where he wants them. Yeah it's not very realistic, but apparently I haven't been realistic all year so why change now?

Paul Johnson just went for it 4th and 1 on his own 38 yard line up 14-6.

And got the first

Believes in his players.

Butch stockpiled elite talent but never truly believed in them. Too conservative. No killer instinct.

Analytics are being used more and more in the game. I have seen Doug Pederson make two calls in the last two weeks based off of them. He apparently has coaches in his ear who give him percentages, and let him make the decision. They went for it on 4th and 7 or 8 st midfield two weeks ago. Didn't get it but percentage was a coin flip. He then took an extra point off the board against Carolina on Thursday after a penalty. Converted the two points from the one yard line. Smart coaching.

I agree but his playcalling is pretty bad and we haven't scored a TD in 10 quarters. That is beyond embarrassing. He controls the offense and the offense isn't doing jack.

Do you seriously think he’s the one controlling the offense???

I didn't mind that. Didn't give the SC defend a chance at getting lined up correctly. If the SC player had not interfered there's a decent chance that would be a touchdown.

But accepting your position takes away an opportunity to criticize.
