Shoop and the D really let us down last night. They played like they had never seen the read option before.

I didn’t watch, which I can say that about maybe 1 or 2 other games in the last 15 years. But I will say somehow this team can’t execute anything consistently for 60 minutes anymore. Special teams isn’t even elite like it’s been since butch got here. I hope the AD has a plan because you’ve now erased any goodwill people had toward butch becuse you’re allowing this to spiral out of control. Anyone can see we now are In dangerous territory if he stays on the sideline... potentially not winning another game this year.

The talent and timing was there for Butch to run the East for 2-3 years before this season, and here we sit at the bottom

I’m starting to feel about the Currie the same way I do when Butch gets us to 1st and goal. The decision is obvious: bring in the heavies and punch it in.

Instead we finesse the ball around the field, take sacks and false start penalties and wind up kicking a 45 yard field goal.

I’m starting to think I’m watching Currie commit similar incomprehensible buffoonery.

Everyone acts like they know what Currie is going to do. No one seems to have a clue. He either is an evil genius or a moron.

I look for Currie to keep Jones until bowl eligibility is out of sight. Just like when we fired Dooley. If I can accept this then hopefully I won’t be as disappointed.

I will say this for Butch - the kids that are still playing are all playing really hard for him.

IMO Butch's bed was made when we failed to recruit adequate D-Linemen in the 2015 and 2016 classes (we are only playing 6 guys, and none of them are elite) and when he promoted Larry Scott to OC. Those mistakes have completely wrecked this season and his fate is sealed.
