They still had to pull Urban. And also Foley went after Mullen and Peterson twice. A lot of people on this board wanted will mushchamp too when Florida got him.

This is absolutely the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. If southern miss is a must win game for a coach, than we may as well satisfied with being a bottom dweller.

Really just silly. The HC isn't the one monitoring who shows up to class, and an interim can administer discipline just as well as a lame duck.

It has been mentioned that ESPN gets to break the hiring of Gruden (if this actually is happening)...anyone else think that if this is true, they may actually break the firing/resignation of Butch out of the blue, and follow it up shortly after with Gruden’s hiring?

I love to think of conspiracy theories...

Florida's talent situation pulled Meyer just as much. And I thought it was established that Mullen was pissed Florida didn't go after him?

Not endorsing or assuming. Just saying I think they see an opportunity to upgrade and they're taking advantage of it. The likelihood of UF and Mac parting ways this week are very high, IMO.

Our coach is running this program into the ground. I’m not in a joking mood when it comes to how poorly this football team is coached. So pardon me if things go over my head.

We have a bad football coach in place, everyone knows it and no one is doing anything about it.

I guess it won’t happen until people stop showing up to gamesand the bottom line is effected

I’ll be going to the game next weekend. My 5 year old son has been wanting to go so bad and he loves the Vols. So I hope there are a lot of fans there. Not just for his experience at the game, but for the players who keep laying it on the line every game. They deserve it. I get all the frustration, I’m there too. But Currie knows what’s going on. He’s going to fire Butch at some point. I don’t think we should let our anger over the timing of that carry over to any action that affects the players. I think it would be awesome if we miraculously packed the house next weekend (won’t happen, I know). Think about the message that would send to our next coach.

No, as far as head coaches, Gerry Dinardo, Rich Kotite will forever be the worst I’ve ever seen but he is pushing the envelope, his lack of player development and zero game plan adjustments on the fly put him in the bottom 20 that I’ve ever seen.

Or, we have our replacement, and that replacement wanted Butch treated with class, and also wanted his privacy until it was time. Butch has made that very very difficult with this loss, but that makes the most sense based on where we are.

Same could be said about Jimbo Fishers as well which has produced great results before.

Same could be said about Brian Kelly a year ago and It goes on and on

Schemes get in funks and we are there but let's not act like his offense has always been this way
