JG played well. Much more confident and throwing the ball better.

Jordan ran well and hard considering the OL had little push. Good cutback ability and reads.

OL was a disaster in the beginning, improved as the game went on. Still needs work. Minimal push at LOS.

Wrs were serviceable. Caught most of the passes. JJ and Calloway need more targets. Not Palmer.

TE...where was DWA the whole game aside from the one TD catch?

DL sucked (DEs with poor pass rush). Tuttle and Alexis played OK.

Lbs: Average play and no sacks/big plays. A few missed tackles

DB play was horrid due to no DL pressure. Young team but can only cover Sills and other WRs for so long.

Was optimistic at halftime. D fell apart in 2nd half.

Needed more aggressive playcalling with a few more downfield plays.

We started 3 true freshman defensive backs against one of the best passing attacks in college football. If you go back and watch we actually kept them from gettin off the line and into their routes several times.

Did you really and honestly expect us to come down and lock up a heisman caliber QB and WR with this secondary?

I’m defending it because i saw us be creative on defense. We brought blitzes from every level and direction but we Just never really got there. That’s not coaching. That’s player execution.

He did that at least 2, maybe 3 times. Abernathy got beat the same play call but not for the same reason. He was in position just didn’t look for the ball. Would have been an INT if he turns his head around.

OL did settle. needs to find consistency.
RB did well
JG did well
Would have liked to see us feed JJ and Callaway like they do with Sills and Sims.

DBs had some mistakes. I thought they got the shaft with the amount of DB blitzing. Sills was covered by a safety too often.

secondary does not tackle well at all. A lot of shouldering and pushing... Warrior ran with a WR for 6yds pushing at him until he got into the end zone, how about actually tackling? Coverage too soft, even when we had nothing to lose, very poor angles, no tracking the ball, and overall getting basically torched to where they could play simple pass and catch every play. Plenty of miscommunication on the back end. Several kids back there need to sit and let us try someone else... throw Fils-aime and Byrd out there...
