What does that have to do with scheme?Coming into the game it was almost a universal belief that we needed to blitz Stockton as much as possible and not sit back and play coverage.
Also those are single games you’ve named. ND also gave up 35 to USC last year. Have already given up 41 to A&M this year. So while it may have worked vs UGA for one game last season (and maybe you’re talking to the exact point of doing that instead of naming other DCs / staffs that are really good without top end talent), their strategy/talent/game planning hasn’t exactly bled over.
Also ND shut down a UGA team that didn’t have the WR talent they have now.
What does that have to do with scheme?
Did the scheme change?
You still defend something with a proven scheme or formations that have worked against that offense in the past.
Look how teams have defended us the last couple of years. They see what others did and copied it. Arkansas, OU, UGA, etc all played high safeties and said you aren’t beating us deep and we will give you short throws.
Yawn. Getting old.@Adam Sandler's rouge game thread has now cost us dearly. Let us pray that perhaps the damage has been contained with the blood, sweat, and tears of out team and fans.
Get an easy win and hopefully get some key pieces back healthy. Go Vols.
...and that 4.3 or 4.4 forty will end up being a 4.55 in the combine. Squirrel was way overrated. He doesn't have elite speed, and he doesn't have the lateral quickness of a Wes Welker.I think he has little to no shot to play in the NFL. He is simply not that good. Also has trouble staying healthy.
