'25 Recruiting Forum: Official Tennessee versus Vanderbilt Pre-game/Game Thread

To be clear, we're not losing this game because of talent. This is 100% on coaching. Defense is terrible and the offense is inconsistent. Heupel has to make some changes this offseason for the program to progress...if he doesn't already have one foot out the door. He's definitely been acting a lot more subdued lately.

It’s a game that’s a fireable offense. Vanderbilt is Vanderbilt. You don’t lose to them and not have someone get fired. CJH has too much momentum in recruiting and the pieces are there on the offense to be be very good next year. So naturally we have to pinpoint the biggest issue. Tim Banks. If he’s not fired, there will be zero excitement in offseason. 24 points wasn’t good enough from the offense tonight, but the defense hasn’t been good enough all season besides a Florida team that mailed it in anyways. I still think coach can get it done here but you o do turnout have to make the hard decisions. But in this case it should be a comically easy decision

I just think blaming the refs in a game that we are getting absolutely whipped is soft. I think you're a little off on your objectivity. I see one team whipping my team like a bunch of rented mules. All good but every fanbase in America always thinks their team is getting cheated. We are simply not very good, especially on defense. It's sad but true and is about to get real for Heupel as the natives don't like getting killed in Knoxville at home. Going to be insufferable. Pavia is a punk but the dude is a gamer.

Tim banks is an enemy of the program. Keeping him is proof we are run by Birmingham. Anyone who disagrees with this is also an agent of Birmingham. Probably has Saban on speed dial
