I’d add if Boo had progressed and been bought in like we all thought to go with those 2 then the secondary would’ve looked SO much better
Eh those two with Colton Hood sliding into nickel might have been all we needed. Hood being able to fly around trying to make plays from the nickel with his aggressiveness and tackling ability might have been a huge step up from Boo this year. Boo looked lost at times like he didn’t know the play call but then would make a crazy play. But you’re right that if he’d bought in and didn’t skip summer or didn’t have his mom in his ear we probably would have gotten a pretty good year out of Boo. So disappointing. Idk why he and his mom think Colorado gonna be so amazing. Hood literally left there to come here and in one season is being mocked for 1st-2nd round.

That's what he's saying. If Boo had been what he was supposed to be, if Gibson and McCoy hadn't gotten hurt... we'd be dang good on defense.

McCoy and Gibson CB1s
Hood at STAR
Boo and Turrentine/Farooq at Safety.

Then you've got Redmond and McMurray as backups who aren't bad. That's a Top 5 unit. (Don't need to debate Boo v Hood at star, point is you'd figure out how to get all four of McCoy, Gibson, Boo and Hood on the field together).

But thats a perfect world we don't live in.

MASSIVE money shift and zero line movement.

Are we really going to lose to candy?

Edit: for those wondering, this is considered reverse line movement. While the line isn't moving, it's mostly bouncing between -2.5 and -3. This despite the money on the vast majority of the money on Tennessee.

The expected line movement with that kind of disparity is the line shifting to Tennessee -4, -4.5 or even -5.

With it staying at -3, thats concerning.

Big money is betting TN to win. TN is still the favorite.

I edited my post. See the explanation on why this is concerning. Sharp play is Vandy plus the 3.

We may in fact win, and I'll be there in the stadium doing my part with the Neyland experience, but its going to be a stressful day to say the least.

Obviously this isn't a fool proof method, but reverse line movement is about the most accurate predictor when it comes to wagering on sports. See the line movement for Tulane/Memphis, Tennessee/Oklahoma, and Tennessee Florida for recent examples.

Flip of that is initially most money was on Vandy and the line did same thing. Does that mean Vegas isn’t sure how this game goes? Maybe Vegas doesn’t know how the SEC will skew the game with officiating because Vandy is on the outside right now of the playoff picture.

But that’s not reverse line movement yet. Reverse line is the line actually is dropping in the face of money on TN. Now, if David Smith shows up as the ref, then we will 100% know what is going on.
