'25 Recruiting Forum: Official Mississippi State vs Tennessee Pre-game/Game Thread

Think thats a good team and happy for a W, but that last 1:25 clock management is greatly worrisome IMO
The reason we had the ball with a chance to win was because MS State ran 13 seconds off the clock and punted. I can understand wanting to make sure you have the ball last in a 34-34 game.

The last two plays were unfortunate, but it's hard to criticize without seeing what was going on down field. You hit somebody for 20 instead of scrambling around and throwing it away it looks like masterful game management.

Exactly. Also, Mississippi State's defense had been off the field for exactly 4 plays in like 45 real time minutes. They were absolutely gassed when it mattered. Tennessee's defense was ready to play in the 4th.

CJH has forgotten more football than I will ever know - I sure wish I could understand the logic of burning so much time on that final drive? GO VOLS! Caught several breaks in’98 too!
My 2 thoughts:
1. Lebby is just as dangerous in short time as Heupel is. He wanted to make sure we had last possession.
2. Aguilar mismanaged the clock on 2 plays. Wasted like 20-30 seconds instead of throwing it away.
