'25 Recruiting forum: Official Georgia vs Tennessee Pre-game/Game Thread

I’ll tell you one thing we are missing Dylan Sampson out there. My one issue rn: I am souring on the RB committee and think, at this point, it’s time to designate one main back, only getting spells as needed. My vote is star
Also wish they’d give Lewis a chance to get in a rhythm

How do you know Moi will make a difference? Serious question because I don’t think he has played since the first series of the first game.

We dont know if he'll make a difference.

The same way we dont know how we'll play against bama and florida but you've already written off those two as losses regardless.

Let’s see how the rush game does with Sanders back. Apparently pushing Perry to guard and Sanders at tackle is even better than what we’ve been seeing,
The rush game has been fine except for UGA. So when someone says “big boys,” they mean UGA. We ran for 214 last year against Bama. The passing game was the barrier the last 2 years.

Still love this team. CJH out coached Kirby. The kick just didn‘t go thru. I think we still have a playoff team and will be even better when we get some players back. I’m sure the recruits had a great time. It was just two really good football teams battling it out. We just came up short.

I just don't understand why some of your are so torn up when you also said we're an 8-4 team.
Because it was soooo close...that ALWAYS hurts really bad...especially at home. And because most doubted the team because of the QB situation, and that is obviously not a problem, so hope was instantly renewed in the first quarter and people thought "wow...we should win this"...only to be gutted by a million littke stupid mistakes...and then our recently stout defense suddenly looks like 22 again...because of injuries, but the cause is irrelevant.

This is like pouring alcohol on an open wound.

He was pretty productive being the 3rd guy last year. Had more tackles for loss than Simmons in front of him. Same amount of tfls as Norman-Lott as well. He’s not too bad. Only thing is he’s not as big as O or Simmons.

Yes, it’s been great before today. I’m talking about in these big games since that’s what the other poster was referring to…

Big time games against big time teams, we have not been able to run to win. Is most of that GA, sure; that’s the standard.

Bama was a marginal team last year.

There’s always room for growth but usually, a RB either has it or he doesn’t immediately. I haven’t seen him make a single defender miss in space in two years. That doesn’t bode well for RBs.
He maybe a speed to power straight line guy only.

lol exactly. Some were even saying 7-5. I got flamed for saying this was gonna be the best team Heupel has had… and it’s clear we are
If we have any more injuries..we will lose several. We are super razor thin and Redmon just showed he really is a true freshman and he ain't ready for SEC prime time...EVERYBODY is going at him from here on out, and there Is NOBODY to replace him.

If any team loses more than 5 primary players on defense they’d start losing games too. Redmond will be fine, and McCoy should be back soon ish

Yes let’s see if there’s an improvement with our best 5 on the line. And hopefully more Star Thomas. Idk who left on the schedule though has a dline/defense like UGA though so might not get another test at this level til the playoffs if we make it there or SECC. Florida was supposed to have a good defense idk if they actually are. Idk about Bama since FSU did what they did against them.

We can both agree, still love this team.

Meh, can’t be scared. Gotta give it your all especially in a game like this. There was 2 separate times they cleared the box a QB draw would have been an easy first down, and if Joey was allowed to keep a few he has so much green grass. Heck they were crashing so hard Star was able to bounce out to the edge himself
Nailed it...you can tell they are scared of losing him...they know he is good enough to get us to the playoffs.

I knew Heupel was all in on Joey the very first drive against Syracuse...I thought that if the talking heads were right and Joey wasn't all that in practice, that we would have come out running right off the bat, but nope je cones out ripping it across the middle right away...and I knew.

The downside is that they will not expose him to injury and Kirby figured that out...you're 100% right...there were acres of green grass to run to and we HAVE take it in critical games like this
