Recruiting Forum: Official Georgia Pre-Game/Game Thread

It's a LOS scrimmage league and UGA is terrible up front on both sides of the ball.

Just avoid dumb mistakes

I've said all week I think it will be a 7-10 point win (hope it's more), so yeah, I think it may be a close game, but I don't understand all this "they're going to be pissed talk". Our team should be playing pissed too. We should be playing pissed every week. A decade of frustration in this program should have these guys out for blood the rest of the season.

Should be

Hammer
Nail
Coffin

for the rest of the season. Leave no doubt in anyone's mind that we are back and here to stay.

No one on the sideline today has been there a decade. I'm sure they get it, but it's different to us than it is them.

Others may have different experiences, but I know after we were blown out in high school the next week of practice was very hard. We were ready to line up the next Friday night, that's for sure. It's a real thing, but just like everything, it's only a prediction from afar whether they show up angry or not.

We'll see in a couple hours.

What's our depth look like behind Buchanan and Moseley?

Osbourne? Gaulden or Foreman out there? I can't think of anyone else

What do you think about sliding Abernathy down? I know he has been ridiculous at safety but has the athleticism to play outside.

We have the juco CB too. Desmond Henderson. No idea whether he could contribute though... Haven't heard anything about him since the start of summer.

We do have some very athletic safeties who could play some CB in a pinch. Abernathy definitely could, at the very least.

Played there last year...can do again in a pinch. Wondering if Gaulden has seen work there.

I remember Shoop saying Abernathy was willing to move to corner after Sutton got injured. I guess that is a possibility if need be.

Really wanted to see Gaulden outside when we were recruiting him but I really like him playing nickel. Wouldn't mind seeing either at CB. Might see quite a bit of Warrior today.

Huge game for us today. It is very unfortunate we are playing without our top two LBs, Cam and JM. I expect Georgia to spread it out in a lot of 4 and 5 wide looks. Quick throws and easy reads for Eason and attempt to neutralize our pass rush. They should move McKenzie and Michel around a lot and try to create match ups against slower guys like Jumper.

We really need a strong day from Abernathy, TKJr, and RG7.

Evan Berry and Stephen Griffin both would allow for Abernathy to move as well. We are loaded and any starting position can be replaced as we can see. We got Shoop coaching and Butch recruiting. That's a good combo in my books.
