The main thing that UT will need to watch out for is the new formations and wrinkles teams put in when they have this much time to prepare for a game.

I know I’m just saying I doubt they have the play callers we do on offense

Agree. I know we will have some surprises ourselves just saying we need to be ready for new little wrinkles that might be successful at first cause the staff may not have seen it on the film they studied and was added for this game. I trust in our staff just was mentioning that every team when they have the time to do so try and add new thing the other team hasn't seen before. I hope we see that tough D we been seeing from the get go. But we do have the best OC for sure and DC.

I think a lot of people are underestimating Indiana a smidge. They are a very good offense with some really talented WRs. They will score points, no doubt. Our offense has to keep up and control the pace of the game. Their defense, specifically running defense is not very good.

they're hte big 10 version of UAB. they beat NOBODY.

of course, our best win may be against UAB. lol. at least UK, MSU made a bowl, as did UAB....and GSU and BYU :)

but Indiana's schedule is garbage:
w's against Ball St, E. Ill, Uconn, Rutgers, MD, NE, NW, Purdue. none of those teams even finished .500....combined record of 25-71.

the lost to OSU, MSU, Mich and PSU and MSU was 6-6 before the bowl.

i get it, respect the opponent and all....but imo, this falls as a "should win" to me. we're definitley better than every team they beat this year. and probably better than MSU. we're healthy, excited and had a month to prepare.

i think a 1 point line means folks are underestimating us...........A LOT.

GBO.

As long as the team with the actual PLAYERS don’t. And doubt they will.

If we had gotten more consistent QB play this year, I would put this into the category of Butch's three Big 10 Bowl blowout wins. We just have better talent across the board.

But we have JG as QB, so you never know what you are going to get, and even when he has a statistically impressive game like he did against Mizzou, it still generated all of 24 points. We just never seem to be able to get any separation against decent teams unless we can get a special teams or defensive score. I also have concerns about how our defense holds up against a competent passing attack, as we haven't beaten one all year long. Still, this team does seem to have learned how to win tight games over equal to lesser talented teams, so I think we'll win but we won't be feeling good about things until well into the fourth quarter.

Things I want to see tonight:

-Vols win (duh)
-Jauan Jennings reach 1k yards for the season
-Marquez “Marquise” Calloway moss a dude.
-Bitulli 10+ tackles
-Warrior with an int.
-Darrell Taylor sack (or 3)
-Tyler Byrd with a splash play.

I know we have a lot of young talent and I hope they show out, but these seniors deserve to go out with a bang tonight. I hope it’s all about them tonight.

I am glad that I read some of the Power T Tape articles on this game. While Tennessee is probably more talented than Indiana, they are not your classic Big 10 team. They have recruited a lot of Florida players over the past couple of years and the Indiana offense does have some speed to it. It will be important for Tennessee to answer Indiana's early punches. I predict that Indiana will score 2 maybe 3 touchdowns in the first half and Tennessee will have to answer them. Like we have seen all year, the defense will really crack down in the second half. This will give Tennessee the chance to pull away a little bit from Indiana. I think we end up winning by 7-10 points. This would be one of our better wins this season.
