I've watched Bama enough to know we can score on them, not likely enough to win. Our freshmen CB's are going to be tested and we need better S play. Tua will be going deep so they can't be sucked in watching the backfield. OLB's better set hard edges. I see it 38-17. Hope they come out of it without injuries, executing better, and fighting through adversity.
So Tua is playing?

he was cleared for practice Sunday, and i think he practicted yesterday. if he doesn't play, it's purely precautionary....and because they know they can.

but i don't see it happening. he's playing. even if it is only for his usually 2 qtrs.

Tua’s limited mobility and our improved DL pressure is an encouraging recipe. Add to it that they may have 1-2 receivers out, we may have opportunities to pressure. They’re still more experienced, but our guys are remembering how to win, and I expect a competitive game.

I have a weird feeling Saturday could be interesting although my brain is telling me I am 100% wrong. Do we have a visitor list?

I think we can somehow keep them in the 30s. I don’t think we can score more than two touchdowns though.

Knoxville always gets a version (usually worse) of DFW’s weather. We’ve had almost constant rain (no lightning) for a week.

Guys, please let rational, cooler heads prevail here... Yes, we did a great job against AU last week, but AL is still AL, and we are not at a hot mess level, but luke warm mess that is cooling off... They still hang 40-50 on us and we will be lucky to get 10-14... It doesn't matter though... we need to focus on the remainder of the season. Worry about this game starting next year... And everyone say a prayer we don't sustain anymore injuries ... DEMZ the cold hard facts. I would love it if it's a closer game, and it may be, but we just need to get through it and concentrate on winnable games.

No games are winnable with that mindset.

12-3

Ha Ha, Ron I hear ya, just trying to be rational... I would much rather be concentrating on SC and the remainder of the season, than thinking we are going to all of a sudden do something to AL that no other team has done all season and maybe get some injuries in the process... GBO!

I'm sorry. I thought this was a Fan Forum. I'm here to hang with orange koolaid sipping, rocky top singing, Big Orange wearing, no Bama fearing sons of guns! I'll worry about logic and rational thinking when I die, but as for here, in this forum, I'll throw caution to the wind. Here we project 350+ yards and 3 TDs for Guarantano, 2 Ints against Tua, 34-31 Vol Wins while Butch Jones cries on the sideline as Rocky Top rains down on he and Saban.

WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE WHOLE STATE OF ALABAMA.

Someone was talking earlier how the stars have to align for someone like us to beat Bama. I think the stars started to align when Butch was hired as an intern by Saban. He’s the one responsible for ending the curse of the Shadowman. Butch being on the Bama sideline Saturday is what finally breaks the curse and aligns the stars.

Vols win, and the changing of the guard from Alabama to Tennessee as a college powerhouse begins. Boom! Let’s go! 😎

I have a little more faith in our D I guess than some. To me all depends if our O. Auburn had a stout DL one of the best in the SEC and our OL couldn't run block on them so I doubt they will this week. They did do a decent job pass blocking against that strong DL front. I believe our D will keep us in it for a while and if our O can be effective passing again I believe the game will be interesting like the GA game except for the turnovers. We have to play mistake free. No turn overs, stupid penalties, or bone head reactions that cost us 15 yards.
So mistake free game and an effective pass game.

UA - 30
UT - 21

w/turnovers

UA - 48

UT - 17

UA has their worse game possible and UT play mistake free

UT - 28

UA - 24

Did I cover all angles? LOL
